Chichester Festival Theatre is one of the UK’s flagship theatres, renowned for the exceptionally high standard of its productions as well as its work with the community and young people. Situated in the lively and beautiful cathedral city of Chichester, the Festival Theatre’s bold thrust stage design makes it one of England’s most striking playhouses; a studio theatre, the Minerva Theatre, sits ne

arby. The annual summer Festival season runs from April to October, during which productions originated at Chichester reach an audience of over 200,000 and frequently transfer to the West End. Year-round programming continues through the winter with the Theatre presenting high-class touring productions, as well as a traditional Christmas show mounted by the renowned Chichester Festival Youth Theatre. Rooted firmly in its community, the Theatre runs a Learning, Education and Participation (LEAP) programme that is a beacon of excellence and inspiration to its local audience, as well as being home to one of the country’s largest youth theatres with over 750 members.

Joining us for a special occasion or just looking to enjoy a glass of something delicious?

We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Gusbourne and putting them in the spotlight this English Wine Week. This year they will be celebrating 20 years of producing the award-winning wines that put Gusbourne in the World's 50 Best Vineyards.

Gusbourne are also sponsoring CFT's Summer Gala performance of My Fair Lady which will be supporting our Stage the Future campaign, providing training opportunities and pathways for early career theatre industry professionals.

Raise a glass in any of our Bars or in the Brasserie. 🥂

A little joy came to Sussex Fest with a trial session of Once Upon A...Role Play Time! with our Early Years practitioner Heidi Pointet.

This multi-sensory storytelling session for 2-4 years olds explores drama, song and performance skills. Through role play and storytelling, we build children’s empathy, confidence and self-awareness in a safe, shared space.

Sessions run every Tuesday here at CFT from 10:45am-11:30am and spaces are still available to join.
