The first image shows the collagraph block. An incredible amount of work (and time) has gone into making this detailed block which is constructed with various materials and sealed with shellac.
The second image is the final print and reflects the complex patterns and textures created in the original block.

One starting point - ‘Fragments’ - five very different results!

We start every block with structured tasks that we hope will encourage our members to try new ways of seeing and working. It so important to us however, that as the weeks go on, each is encouraged to follow their own path. We are always absolutely blown away by the results! Well done everyone 👏

Shown in reverse order, she began with a monochromatic collage and used this to create further experiments in colour. We love the circular forms she has used in her composition and the sense of movement that has remained throughout each piece. 🙌

So much wonderful art work has been created by our fabulous groups since we last posted; so we felt we had to share just a few of their beautiful responses.😊
We have been focusing on using a limited colour palette and exploring all of the amazing hues, tints and tones that you can find within a restricted colour family ❤️
We are now running a morning and afternoon session on a Monday, so if you want to join us for two and a half hours of blissful creativity, then why not get in touch and book yourself onto a workshop block.
Our new block is starting on 24th February and places are limited so don’t delay and email us today 😊😊
