Pallant House Gallery’s Summer Art Club returns this August! 🎨

Designed for children aged 7+, Summer Art Club offers a series of hands-on workshops exploring clay, printmaking, collage, textiles and more. Led by experienced artist educators, each session encourages children to experiment with different materials, develop new skills and create something uniquely their own.

Choose from six creative workshops throughout the summer holidays, inspired by art, landscape, pattern and music. Book individual sessions for £25 each, or mix and match any three to receive 10% off every workshop.

📣 We're looking for local families with children aged 5-11 to take part in a focus group to help shape our new exhibition, 'ChichestHER: Their Story, Our Inspiration' on Friday 7 August at 10am.

The exhibition, which is set to open in October 2026, has been made possible by a £117,266 grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. It will uncover, celebrate and share the stories of remarkable women from across Chichester District whose contributions have helped shape our community but whose voices have often gone unheard.

⭐ You'll get a first look at some of our ideas for the exhibition, and be the first to try hands-on displays. We'll ask you and your children to tell us what you enjoyed, and what you think could be better.

👶🖼️ Looking for a relaxed way to enjoy art with your little one?

The Babes in Arms Guided Tour at Pallant House Gallery is specially designed for parents and carers with babies who aren't yet on the move.

Led by a member of the curatorial team, these welcoming tours offer the chance to explore the Gallery at a comfortable pace while discovering highlights from the collection and exhibitions.

The next tour takes place on Thursday 30 July, introducing some of the Gallery's permanent collection, from iconic modern British artworks to stories from its history.

Seating is available throughout, with space for babies to rest and play, and ticket holders can arrive early to enjoy 10% off in the Café before the tour begins.

🎨 Looking for a creative family activity this weekend?

On Saturday 25 July, head to Pallant House Gallery for Saturday Art and Craft – a relaxed, hands-on workshop inspired by the Gallery's collections and exhibitions.

This month's session takes inspiration from their “Pop and the Figure” exhibition, with children creating their own colourful Pop Art masterpiece to take home.

Choose from two sessions:
🕙 10–11am
🕚 11am–12pm

🎟️ £3.50 per child (adults are free but must book a place)

Best suited to children aged 5+, with drawing materials available for younger children. Plus, up to two adults accompanying a booked child can enjoy half-price Gallery admission, while under 18s always visit free.
