Last week I got a lovely pick me up from a lovely soul.

Classes this week are adapted to the weather to include lots of stretching, floor work and breaks! For those joining us don't be afraid to wear those shorts and cool 😎 tops.

Choosing the right tap shoes.....

Once upon a time it was easy to buy the most appropriate pair of tap shoes because there wasn't much choice but now there are many options. Here are a few things to think about:

🫟 For our Starting Stars beginners, canvas shoes are a good option. They are lighter and little feet can go onto the balls of their feet easily.

🫟 The colour black is very practical, easy to find and easier to keep clean. Those sparkly numbers look very attractive (for a couple of weeks 😁).

🫟 For older beginners there are a variety of laces, buckles, buttons and straps. I've tried many but I always feel more supported with lace ups. You have confidence kicking your legs knowing the shoe won't fly off!

Tap shoe styles go in fashion waves but I'd go for the heel size you are comfortable in and the style that reflects your personality and that you feel fabulous in. 💪💞

MK Dance has tap as a staple in it's classes to support the development of rhythm, coordination, musicality and some great collective beats in class 🪩. Beginners are always welcome and you may be finding the passion of a lifetime xx

🚨Happy International Dance Day 😁

So looking forward to class tonight with my Pen*stone Leisure Centre ladies. However this is a throw back to 2020 when I attempted to teach this routine from my garden and people joined through their phone, laptops or tablets. It was a really cold evening. What must the neighbours have thought 🤔! I'm so glad we can get back indoors together.
