My art is produced from within...things that have stirred an emotion within me, be it positive or negative. Many times, it's a situation that has arisen in my life and the only way I can make sense of it is to put paint to canvas. When you look at my pieces, you will find some are whimsical, while others pull you in and grab your attention in ways you might not have expected. One of my favorite things to share with my audience upon completion of a canvas, is a description of how my work came to fruition. I feel this builds a bridge of understanding between my audience and myself and allows them to take the journey with me. Speaking of journeys, I owe a huge thank you to my amazing son, Austin who has been with me every step of the way. We consider ourselves the 2 musketeers. He is my biggest fan and also my compassionate critic. Some of our favorite times have been spent with him sitting in my art room, reading while I am working on a new piece.
