I’ve been a member of Chesterfield Operatic Society for over 30 years and, during that time, I’ve been fortunate enough to play many principal roles, as well as recently completing a term as Chair of the Society.
It’s now a great privilege to have been asked to take on the role of NODA East Midlands District 2 Representative, covering North Derbyshire.
My role is to help and support NODA members and societies throughout the district, visiting productions and writing reports on the shows I see, offering honest, constructive and supportive feedback.
Each year, we also have the opportunity to recognise and celebrate those who have excelled, from performers and directors to musicals, plays, pantomimes, youth productions and Gilbert & Sullivan productions.
Having been involved in amateur theatre for so many years, I know just how much hard work, dedication and passion goes into every production. I enjoy getting out and about, meeting people, seeing some fantastic shows and supporting societies throughout North Derbyshire.
And I’m not giving up performing! I’m currently rehearsing for Chesterfield Operatic Society’s upcoming production of We Will Rock You, where I’ll be playing Buddy.
