I haven't posted for so long but am still getting the odd view and message. I thought it may be prudent to direct people to Emral Equestrian as this is the yard that I am working from now. Excellent facilities and plenty of space. Have a look.

I have had such a busy summer. Moved house 3 times in 2 months, lots of work and lovely horses to play with. Will be updating this page and reviewing the season as soon as I get my bum in gear (shortly!).😴

Had an awful day, cleaning our old home after we moved out on Friday... But skived off for an hour to pop the lovely Mea around the clear round Sj with Nantwich Riding Club. Her first show and definitely not my speciality! Slowest and flappiest clear round in the history of clear round showjumping!

I thought I would be posting photos of Cedric (aka Battlestations) starting his bus man's holiday with me at Bankfield. Sadly, while he loaded sensibly, he would not stand for a second on the trailer, running out backwards and rearing the second that he had head room.

After a couple of near misses, we decided to regroup and transport him with the wagon next week. As much as I hate them "getting away with it", it was not worth the risk to him or us.

Although I have worked with him for over 12 years and still have quite a strong bond with him, he hasn't had the time or groundwork over the last few years. It just shows that, as with most relationships, you need to keep working and reinforcing the bond, you cannot take it for granted if you don't put the effort in.

Not to worry, bootcamp starts next Sunday now. Give me a day and he will be begging to be left alone on that trailer!

Had a great day out on Sunday at Threapwood Horse Show. Such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere with loads going on, from gymkhana to working hunter.
We started with Nicky in the lead rein showjumping on my Oliver, first show for both of them and they got a very slow, safe double clear despite Nicky nearly falling off the back of the pony waving to his father!
I then had a couple of horses in the showing classes having the day out for experience. Franklin the Clydesdale is only 4 but kept his composure on his first outing despite being more than a little worried. He also managed a reasonable individual show and was extremely balanced for such a big baby in a small arena. He managed to take a rosette home for his efforts and we were delighted with his behaviour.
Gwen was also placed 3rd in the ex racehorse class although there were only three of us! She also behaved beautifully on her first outing since the races. We were a little distracted and didn't do the most polished show but she threw in a foot perfect flying change at the end which may have looked intentional!
In all a lovely day out, thank you to everyone who helped with childcare and pony polishing.

Bringing myself (and Rosie) back into work in January. I have never been so unfit in my life ☺
I loved the way she carried herself and her attitude to work. My friend and I bought a couple to have some fun on and sell. We now have one each!
