We're delighted to announce a last-minute show with Bob Sumner this Sunday (14th June) at The Golden Eagle, Chester.

Bob Sumner is a Canadian‑born country artist whose music carries the warmth, grit, and emotional weight of classic Americana while still feeling unmistakably modern. Raised on a steady diet of Neil Young, Townes Van Zandt, and the Laurel Canyon songwriters, he developed a style built on honest storytelling and a voice that leans into vulnerability rather than polish.

It was some show at St Michael's Church in Liverpool on Saturday!

The energy in the room was electric; C.W. Stoneking and his band were incredible, bringing blues, roots and timeless music to this stunning venue. Caitlin Gilligan opened the night, playing three different instruments accompanied by her beautiful voice, and Tom Blackwell gave us a fierce set of Americana music.

Parr is a folk troubadour in the truest sense: taking to the road between shows, writing and rewriting songs as he plays, fueled by a belief that music is eternal and cannot be claimed or adequately explained. The bluesman poet pulls closely from the sights and sounds around him, his lyrical craftsmanship built by his influences. The sounds from his working-class upbringing—including Folkways legends such as Lead Belly and Woody Guthrie—imbue Parr’s music with stylistic echoes of blues and folk icons of decades past.
