🎨🧶 Monet yarns are my absolute favourite to dye. Dyeing them is honestly my therapy.

✨ Whenever I fancy a relaxing, happy little dye session, I reach for all my favourite colours — pretty pinks, dreamy purples, beautiful blues, soft greens… and maybe just a tiny splash of yellow. 💗💜💙💚💛

I’ll have a little look through Monet’s gorgeous paintings for inspiration, then it’s time to splash, blend and play with the dyes and see where they take me.

No pressure… just colour, yarn and a little bit of creative therapy. 🌸🎨

And honestly, what could be better? 💕

Hi, I’m Joey 👋

I’ve realised there are quite a few new faces here lately, so I thought I’d do a proper introduction 💛

I’m the creativity behind The Yarn Artist - lover of all things colourful, maker of many crafts, and happiest when I’m creating something bright and joyful🧶 🌈

The past few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind with Callie’s diagnosis and treatment, and it’s been a tough time for us all as a family. But honestly, one of the unexpected positives has been connecting with so many of you - your kindness hasn’t gone unnoticed 🫶

If you’re new here or been following me for a while, I’d love for you to say hello and tell me about something that makes you happy. 😊

I honestly don’t know how to thank you all enough 💛

The response to my last post has completely blown me away - the messages, shares, and orders have meant more than I can put into words. Your kindness and support have really lifted us.

We’ve also had so many new people join us here, so thank you and welcome!

Callie is recovering well and taking things day by day - we’re staying positive she’ll be back to her usual self quickly.

These past few weeks have been exhausting, but hopefully I’ll have my little yarn helper back with me very soon 💛

I’m working through all your orders as quickly as I can (thank you so much for your patience while I balance everything). Lots have gone in the post today, and the Olivia Rodrigo sets will be heading out as soon as possible too.

Hi everyone, a quick update 💛

Our daughter Callie was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour and has had surgery to remove it. She’s now recovering, but still needs a lot of support, so I’m taking time to be with her.

Because of this, I won’t be at Southern Wool Show this weekend (and had to pull out of Midlands a few weeks ago). Missing these events has hit us hard, so every order really helps right now.

I’d already dyed a lot of yarn for these shows, so if you were planning to shop with me, it would mean a huge amount if you could place an order online. Not everything is on the website at the moment as I’ve not had time to update it recently, so if you want to order a ‘lucky dip’ I’ll make sure I send something pretty!

I’ve wanted to create an Olivia Rodrigo-inspired colourway for ages, and as soon as I saw the new album artwork, I knew it was time. The colours are just so beautiful. I’ve had the album on repeat since it came out—I’m obsessed… don’t worry, Taylor, you’ll always have a big place in my heart. 🤍

Soft pastels, blush pinks and dreamy grey-blues melt together into a palette that fades effortlessly from one shade to the next. ✨
