After three years of outstanding involvement, Ian Slack has decided to step down from the Chesham Fringe committee to focus on personal priorities.

We are naturally sorry to see Ian leave the committee, but we completely understand and respect his decision. He has been there since the beginning of the Fringe, so we know this has not been an easy choice for Ian to make and we are grateful for everything he has contributed during his time with the Fringe.

Over the past three years, Ian has made an exceptional contribution to the development and success of the Fringe. His vision, enthusiasm and tireless commitment have helped shape the festival into what it is today in just three years. He has devoted countless hours behind the scenes, taken on numerous responsibilities and played a key role in helping the Fringe grow. Ian’s contribution has been immense and he’s helped create a lasting legacy.

Although stepping down from the committee, Ian will remain a valued member of the Chesham Fringe community and we hope that, in the future, there will be an opportunity to welcome Ian back in some capacity.

In the meantime, on behalf of the entire Chesham Fringe committee, our volunteers, performers, festival visitors and everyone who has benefited from Ian’s hard work, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to him for everything he has done over the past three years. We wish Ian and his family all the very best.

📣 It's official! Dates are confirmed for 2027 Chesham Fringe Festival 🥳

The 2027 Chesham Fringe extravaganza is moving to the early May bank holiday weekend, Friday 30 April to Sunday 2 May.

We’re shifting to the earlier May bank holiday to keep the festival clear of school half-term and to (fingers crossed️) catch slightly cooler weather than we had this year 🥵

Chesham Fringe Festival was a month ago. Feels like yesterday and an age ago at the same time.

Did you notice lots of frantic people running about Chesham over 22-24 May wearing these t-shirts?

They were our Fringe Makers, and the Chesham Fringe Festival wouldn't have happened without them and they were all volunteers.

So we want to share a huge ✨ THANK YOU ✨ to our incredible Fringe Maker team!

From our venue managers keeping everything running smoothly, to our ticket takers welcoming every guest with a smile, bucket collectors rattling to support the artists, our tech team working so hard behind the scenes, and our brilliant photographers and videographer capturing the moments. You were all the heartbeat of Chesham Fringe Festival.

You gave your time, your energy and your enthusiasm, and we are very lucky to have you in our corner.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to this year’s Chesham Fringe Festival and helped make it such a fantastic celebration of live performance, creativity and community spirit.

The sun shone and the town was absolutely buzzing!

Whether you joined us for music, comedy, theatre, cabaret, spoken word, family shows or simply soaked up the atmosphere, we are so grateful for your support.

This was the festival's third year so still a fledgling event with room to grow, so we're asking anyone who attended to spare five minutes to let us know what you liked, didn't like, what worked well for you and not so well.

We hope you discovered something new, enjoyed memorable performances and made some wonderful May Bank Holiday memories with us. Let us know!

Amazing to have had DIRT BOX DISCO bring a bit of punk to Chesham for Fringe fun this year! 💥

WHAT A FILTHY HOT WEEKEND WE'VE HAD! Massive thanks to Chesham Fringe Festival for putting us on on Saturday, and thank you to the fine folk that came to see us, EXTRA BIG thanks to Breaking Bands Festival for putting up with us on Sunday! fabulous festival! well organized and great crew! just to set the record straight, we ended slightly early due to the environment agency and the powers that be getting complaints, people could hear every word 2 miles down the road (the sound was that good) 🤷
Its a new location for the festival so they didn't know there would be such issues when booking us, credit to the organizers for keeping the show on the road as long as they did ❤

📣 Chesham people - we all owe a huge amount to the Vault 17 Chesham team, not only for everything they’ve done for Chesham Fringe and the line up they arranged this year💥, but also for the year-round social space, diverse music and overall community vibes they bring to Chesham town.

On top of that, they provide opportunities for up and coming young artists and local performers as well as attracting big names to this little town for us to enjoy. And the cocktails!!! All on our doorstep.

SO. This is an easy and meaningful way to show your appreciation and only takes a click of a button (and then a verification by email).
