We sincerely hope we'll be able to tempt them here sometime in the future and wish them well in the meantime.

Friday October 16th

We are all heartbroken to hear of the passing of Hugh Carter.

Hugh was a wonderful musician and songwriter but, more importantly, a very lovely man. He will be missed by all of us fortunate enough to have met him.

Our thoughts are with Maria and family. Rest In Peace, Hugh

We're desperately sorry to hear of the passing of John Williams-Wrenne. John was a lovely man and it was always a real pleasure to see him here.

Our deepest sympathies go out to John's friends and family.

Welcome The Mighty Ra to Winter's End!

We're very disappointed to announce that The Thomas Bradley Project are no longer able to join us Winter's End. We'd like to wish the guys all the best and hopefully we'll welcome Thomas and co another year.

The Summer's End team would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Davey Dodds, who has very sadly passed away.

Davey's passing leaves a real hole in the prog – and wider – music scene, but he also left a wonderful musical legacy that will be enjoyed by listeners for many years to come. Rest in peace, Davey.

Best wishes to all.
Huw

We are very sorry to say that Dim Gray are no longer able to appear at Winter’s End this April. We wish the band all the best and hope that they will be able to participate in a future edition. We are, however, delighted to announce that the excellent Chimpan A will be joining us in their stead, which offers a rare opportunity to catch this exceptional band live.

The lineup for this show will feature Rob Reed and Christina Booth of Magenta, Steve Balsamo (Jon Lord), Dan Fry (Magenta live band), Kirstie Roberts and drummer Tom Price (Godsticks), so a fabulous set is guaranteed!

We are also very pleased to welcome Darkfish to the festival. Darkfish is the project of keyboardist Sheila Maloney, best known as a member of the David Cross Band and of Storm Deva. Darkfish will open the Thursday night ahead of Pink Floyd tribute, The Wall Of Floyd.

The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that we've had to swap slots for Doris Brendel and Held By Trees, so Doris will now be appearing at Winter's End and Held By Trees will be joining us for Summer's End.

This was due to a scheduling issue for Held By Trees and we (and the band) are immensly grateful to Doris for agreeing to perform for us in April :)

The lineup so far confirmed is:

Lazuli
Comedy Of Errors
