September is here and we are LOADED 🎉
While the kids go back to school, we've got something for everyone — from babies and toddlers to adults looking for a creative outlet, a new skill or just a reason to get out of the house.

Here's what's coming up at Chepstow Art Space this autumn 👇

🧒 Young Potters After School Club — starts 2nd September
An 8 week introduction to pottery for younger creatives — fun, hands-on and genuinely magical. £160.
🎵 Sing to Your Babies & Tots — starts 8th September, Tuesdays 10:30am
Seasonal songs, rhymes, live instruments, puppets and props for little ones aged 0–4. £50 for the full 6 week block. Siblings welcome at a massive discount.
✏️ Line & Watercolour — starts 7th September, evenings
A 4 week course combining confident drawing with beautiful watercolour. £120.
🎤 Sing for Joy — starts 10th September, Thursdays 1pm
Adult community singing group. No experience needed — just come and enjoy the joy of singing together. £55 for the full 6 week block.
🎨 Landscape Oil Painting — Sunday 27th September
A gorgeous one day workshop exploring the richness and depth of oil paint. £80.
🏺 Pottery Throwing — starts 6th October, evenings
Learn to throw on the wheel over 4 weeks in our beautiful pottery studio. £195.
🎃 Ceramic Pumpkin Tealight — Wewdnesday 7th October, 6–8:30pm
Hand build your own ceramic pumpkin tealight holder — perfect for autumn, suitable for adults and young people aged 13+. £45.
🏺 Pottery Throwing Daytime — starts 4th November
The same brilliant course for those who prefer to create during the day. £195.
🗿 Roman Portraits in Clay — Saturday 21st November, 10am–4pm
A truly unique one day sculpture workshop. Bring ancient Roman faces to life in clay. £99.

Summer's winding down, the evenings are drawing in and there's no better way to ease into September than a night of live music in our cosy music venue 🍂

This Friday we've got CJM & Aggi Evans — acoustic grunge meets soulful, heartfelt, anecdotal folk. Two brilliant musicians, one intimate room, and it won't cost you a penny.
The back to school rush is done. The kids are sorted. Friday night is yours 🎸
The bar will be well stocked with our usual local craft drinks and Spanish tapas!!

Hello lovely people!
We are recovering from an amazing night with The Undercover Hippy, certainly amazing!!
But the show must go on!

In the days to come we will announce a whole lot of new acts for the autumn, winter.. and even spring 🫣 but in the mean time, we can talk about this Friday.

We are planning a different one this time. We will be doing a bit of training with one of our sound team volunteers and we are planning a free for all session where, if you fancy getting on stage for one or a few songs you will be welcome to.
We love our lovely community to get involved, whether on stage or dance floor!!!💃🕺🎸🎷🎙

If you fancy joining in, just rock up.
Let us know if you'd fancy it so we can have an expectation.

Shall we call it an open mic? Or just an engaged community night?

We're still buzzing this morning.🥰🥰

Last night was one of those evenings that reminds us exactly why we do what we do. The Undercover Hippy — Billy Rowan — came to Chepstow Art Space and gave everything. Every word, every note, every laugh. It was raw, it was warm, it was political, it was joyful. It was exactly what live music should be.

And you were part of it.
People came from Bristol, from Gloucester, from across Monmouthshire and the Forest of Dean — from all over — to be in that room together. That means everything to us. You didn't have to come. You chose to. And the room was electric because of it.

A huge thank you to our incredible sound team who made Billy sound absolutely brilliant — you know who you are and you were faultless. And to our wonderful volunteers on the door — warm, welcoming and brilliant all evening. Chepstow Art Space runs on good people and last night we had the best.
