Alasdair Wallace receives an average of two voice notes a month from people describing birds they've seen, asking for an ID. Most of the time it's p**s easy because they live in Greater London and there aren't that many birds they could have realistically seen. It's a jay. It's always a jay. But for those thirty seconds, Alasdair knows what it's like to be omniscient.
