🎵🎤 THINK YOU KNOW YOUR POP MUSIC? 🎤🎵

Gather your friends, family or colleagues and join us on **Friday 24th July** for the Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans Pop Quiz at the beautifully restored Pip & Jim's Church, Leckhampton.

With music spanning the **1950s right through to the present day**, this promises to be a fantastic evening of nostalgia, fun and friendly competition. Test your knowledge against quiz master **Leigh**, renowned for his legendary mega pop quizzes of the 80s and 90s, and compete for great prizes and the title of **Cheltenham's Pop Titans!**

Enjoy table service throughout the evening, with a bar serving craft beers, wines, ciders, soft drinks and snacks.

Most importantly, **24th July is Samaritans Awareness Day (24/7)** – a significant date that reflects the fact that Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs support. Every penny raised from this event helps Cheltenham Samaritans continue providing their vital listening service to our local community.

Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans Pop Quiz – Friday 24th July

Pip & Jims – Cheltenham

Friday 24th July - doors open at 6.30pm, quiz starts at 7.00pm

The Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans proudly present their second pop quiz at the stunningly restored St. Philip and St. James Church in Leckhampton.

Why not put a team together with your friends and colleagues and come and pit your musical knowledge against our quiz master Leigh (who was renowned for running a series of mega pop quizzes in the 80’s and 90’s).

Up to 24 teams will be competing for some amazing prizes, and of course the honour of being crowned Cheltenham’s pop titans! Teams of up to 6 people can enter for a £30 fee (plus EventBrite booking fees). All monies raised go towards helping the Cheltenham branch of the Samaritans provide their vital service to the local population. Team numbers are limited, so get your booking in early. A bar featuring craft beers, wines, ciders and soft drinks will be available together with a small range of bar snacks. Table service will be provided during the quiz.

Through the late 80’s, all of the 90’s and even into the early 2000’s some of our most successful fundraising events were a series of large-scale pop quizzes. These were mainly held at the massive Bird’s Eye Walls social club in Barnwood and often attracted over 60 teams from all over the Southwest and West Midlands. 

This will be the third Pop Quiz we have run in the last few years (the second to be held at Pip & Jims) and will feature music from the 50’s to the present day. 

No mobile phones or other digital devices are to be used during the quiz.
