With the final steps of our mural production approaching, we explored key words connected to CCP, and the themes behind the mural. Each word was passed around, with everyone quickly sketching the first idea that came to mind.

This spontaneous, fast-paced approach helped us generate a wide range of visual responses, pushing us to think instinctively and build on each other’s ideas.

A strong starting point for developing concepts and shaping the direction of the final mural ✨

For the latest Tuesday's Artist Talk series that we run for the students this semester, we yet welcomed another fabulous illustrator and creative person to talk about Children's Book illustration specifically. It was a mesmerising talk with more students attending than usual from both BA and MA illustration departments, and after the talk Q&A session just didn't stop. It was fascinating to hear the journey Raahat took to get this point from creative writing field to building a successful career in Children's Books. It was inspiring for all of us to see the glimpse of her ideas and methods for staying creative but being consistent in the work with deadlines. And how to diversify income revenues. Thank you so much for coming to our couse to do a talk! Many were inspired.

On Tuesday just passed we welcomed a fantastic comic artist from Bristol to talk to our students. This is part of our Tuesday's Artist Talk series. The talk was so honest and insightful about reasons, meaning and motivation concerning any creative person at differentstagesof their journey. Personal achievement is not judged by winning the race but finding some balance and peace within oneself and others nearby in the samecommunity. This is bluntly obvious but so hard to find that inner balance in this competitive environment but Jayde went straight to that point. Big thanks to Jayde for coming to talk to us and we thoroughly enjoyed and gained a lot.

For our Tuesday's Artist Talk series, we welcomed Illustrator to talk to our students, not just the career so far as a successful illustrator but various processes for conceiving, producing, collaborating, and expanding in both practical and personal terms. A fascinating and insightful talk for us to know about Katy's student years and how the meetings with peers and collaborators in various places informed the subsequent projects and works. Animaton is one but also designs and illustrations for merchandise and seasonal campaigns. Great stuff. Thank you for coming all the way!

Our Tuesday's Artist Talks series is back on, starting with the brilliant concept and storyboard Artist who came to our course yesterday to blow the students minds. Great talk on how to start a career and network, and the importance of keep pushing the quality. Hugely Versatile and very open minded about the possibilities in one's own work, where it can take you and how to utilise chances. Thank you for coming to Cheltenham and giving such valuable advices to our students!

It’s not a campfire!
It’s the 3rd year’s Ritual of the Leaves!!

All semester our third years have been drawing a set of 3 (g.d.) leaves that they picked from the campus garden in September. These leaves have mocked them in their boringness, eluded them in their rotting, and tortured them in their constancy. Now the students get to destroy them in our annual ritual of disposal!! Well done everyone!!!
