🎺 We’re bringing Fly Me to the Moon: The Story of Swing back to Northamptonshire for the first time in two years—and we’ll be performing very close to where the show’s first-ever theatre date took place! 🎶

Local vocalist and trumpet player Gareth John Music will be joined by the SOS Big Band for an afternoon celebrating Frank Sinatra and the great crooners. 🎙️ Expect classics including Fly Me to the Moon, New York, New York, My Way, Come Fly with Me and Mack the Knife.

The show tells the wider story of swing too—from Nat King Cole and Dean Martin through to Michael Bublé, Harry Connick Jr and Paul Anka—with favourites such as Feeling Good, Sway and Mr Bojangles along the way. 🎷🎹

3rd August would have been Tony Bennett’s 100th birthday and with his passing in July 2023, we lost one of the most legendary and distinctive voices of the last 70 years! 🎤💔🙏

Unlike Sinatra for example, who was a big Tony Bennett admirer, he mainly toured with a small classy band, a trio or quartet, even in large concert halls where his voice would fill the room. We have had the honour of performing Tony’s signature hit ‘I Left My Heart in San Francisco’ among others with the our SOS Big Band but its on the more intimate quintet shows that we really lean into Tony’s material, with the energetic Gershwin number ‘I Got Rhythm’, the beautiful ballad ‘The Shadow of Your Smile’ and many more ❤️🎶

That show is ‘Let It Swing’ at the lovely The Beggar's Theatre, an absolute gem of an independent venue and we’re thrilled to be returning! 🎭🙏
