I wish I could go back and tell that little girl something. ❤️
Growing up, I found making friends hard. And keeping them could be even harder.
I knew what it felt like to want to belong, to want those friendships that seemed to come so naturally to everyone else.
And I don’t think that little girl could ever have imagined what she’d go on to create.
2 days ago, a mum commented on a post to tell me that her so, now starting senior school, is friends at their new form with someone he met at my classes all those years ago.
Then another parent shared how she’d met her best friend through Pure Imaginations.
And then another.
Children who met as babies and are still growing up together. Mums who arrived at a class not knowing anyone and found friendships that have lasted long after their little ones outgrew us.
And I’ve found myself reading these messages over and over.
Because somewhere along the way, without even realising it, I created something that little Gemma would have desperately wanted herself.
Somewhere you can walk through the door not knowing a soul and find your people.
I always wanted Pure Imaginations to be somewhere children could feel free to be themselves, explore and belong.
But seeing that it’s also become somewhere lifelong friendships have begun?
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words what that means to me.
Little Gemma, I think we did something pretty special. ❤️
And to every family who’s ever been part of Pure Imaginations, thank you. You are the reason these stories exist.
If you met a friend through our classes, I’d absolutely love to hear about it.
And if your looking for exactly what these parents found book our CHRISTMAS TERM TYPE ❤️ in comments below and I’ll send you the link.
Gemma xx
