“Hemlock played their first show recently with Sleeping Mountain and Cruel Mother and instantly blew us all away. An array of their own songs and nestled between were two amazing coves of Black Sabbath- Sweet Leaf and Bongzilla- Greenthumb.
No better place for them to get into the doom scene than Tonehenge”

⛓️TONEHENGE KENT- BAND INTRODUCTIONS⛓️ from Planet Thanet, .

“TRAPS formed in Thanet, Kent in 2019 with the aim of pushing musical boundaries. The duo were both members of the sludge/post-metal oufit OHHMS but wanted to challenge themselves by writing music as a two piece that stretched their creativity further. Beginning with more complex styles such as math rock (The Fighter EP, Halfmeltedbrain Records) and noise punk on the LIFE vs. DEATH split, they have evolved a distinct heaviness as they have progressed and have consciously shifted genre with every recording.
‘Crack Machine’ is their latest EP and sees the band return to more of a doom-laden sound, and includes some riffs that were intended for OHHMS but, for whatever reason, never made it. TRAPS launch the listener through all the hedonistic excesses as well as the highs, and the lows, of a wild night out - all with a sardonic grin on their faces. Intriguingly titled songs catapult the listener into the world of TRAPS and lurch from the relative tranquility of the more melodic meanderings into all-out doomy and aggressive assaults on the senses.”

‘Blue Tree Monitor is a London based stoner rock trio. Formed in 2016 initially to jam and have fun they eventually started writing music. In April 2022 they self released their first EP “Cryptids”’

“England’s South coast is home to a growing DIY music scene centered around the doom genre, in which Outback have worked tirelessly since their 2021 inception. Their powerful and brooding sound arises from concoctions of heavy riffs, soaring vocal melodies and murky, psychedelic breakdowns, delivering a chilling and progressive take on the genre.

Massive and atmospheric, Outback draws inspiration from a diverse range of heavy and psychedelic artists across genres. The band’s crushing heaviness is rooted in doom metal with bands such as Black Sabbath, Eyehategod, and Electric Wizard, while their moody and haunting side is shaped by atmospheric influences like Windhand and Faetooth.“

‘Since the release of their 2024 EP Hermits and Mandrakes, Druidess have become a familiar face in the UK doom and stoner scenes, with appearances at the likes of Masters of the Riff, Byker Grave Festival, Tonehenge, Cosmic Vibration Festival and Fuzzness under their belt.

They have shared stages with Castle Rat, Slomatics, Dopethrone and Margarita Witch Cult, with a confirmed feature in Metal Hammer magazine supporting previous coverage from the likes of Powerplay Magazine, The Obelisk and Outlaws of the Sun.’

Currently every weekend is BOOKED UP at Poco until November, but I am going through emails to fill in those last few dates.
