You may have spotted some of the Upchurch Players out and about in the village yesterday, popping leaflets through doors for our upcoming production of Gods Behaving Badly: An Odyssey of Errors!

If one landed on your doorstep, here’s a little more about what you can expect…

🏛️ So, what’s the show about?

It’s the story of The Odyssey… but not quite as you’ve seen it before!

If you’ve seen The Odyssey recently, then you’ll know it’s got heroes, gods, monsters, battles and epic adventures. Ours has all of those things too… just with a considerably smaller CGI budget and a LOT more laughs! 🤣

Our original comedy follows the gods, heroes and mortals as they try to navigate their way through Homer’s famous story — with plenty of music, silliness, arguments, questionable decisions and general chaos along the way.

You don’t need to know anything about Greek mythology to enjoy it. Come along, have a laugh and see what happens when the gods start behaving badly!

26.2 miles is a crazy distance and they completely smashed it, absolute legends! 🌙

Our first response driver Ryan George kept the team safe with his beacon 💡 Thank you so much! Ryan also created our amazing tees, we are lucky to have to have you!

Thank you to our second driver John Bird, who was on call and scooting about medway through the night!

A massive thank you to Gordy , Linda Russell , Leanne Walter and Mr and Mrs Coote for providing us with food/facilities!

Nick Baker a hero as always, creating our amazing tracker! Thank you Mr Baker!

A massive thank you must also go to Charlie Grant - the boss, for arranging the Moonlight Marathon and for looking after everyone through the night! 🥃
