Built as part of the Chard Regeneration programme and located on the Boden Mill site, Chard Leisure Centre boasts a five lane swimming pool, learner pool, café, indoor soft play adventure, a gym and studios. The centre is operated by Freedom Leisure - one of the most successful and growing not for profit leisure and cultural trusts in the UK - on behalf of South Somerset District Council.

🌊 NEW TRIAL CLASS ALERT FOR TEENAGERS! 🌊

We're excited to be trialling a brand-new Teen Beginner & Water Confidence Class for teenagers who are nervous in the water or have never learnt to swim.

📅 Starting Tuesday 8th September
⏰ 5:15pm - 5:45pm
🏊 Teen Beginner & Water Confidence Class
📍 Held in the shallow end of our main pool
💙 Led by the lovely Dawn

This trial class is perfect for teenagers who: ✅ Are non-swimmers
✅ Feel nervous in the water
✅ Want to gain confidence at their own pace
✅ Want to learn essential swimming and water safety skills
✅ Prefer a supportive and friendly learning environment

Using the shallow end of our main pool, swimmers can build confidence in a comfortable setting while developing valuable life skills and enjoying the benefits of being active in the water.
