Chameleons are holding Open Auditions for Curtain Up! -- a funny play for 5 women of varying ages -- at The Ritchie Hall, Chandlers Ford on Tuesday 16th June at 7.30pm.

Performance - 7.30 curtain up : Thursday 24th , Friday 25th + Saturday 26th September 2026

SYNOPSIS

In his will, Michael leaves equal shares in his derelict theatre to the 5 women in his life:

his 1st wife - Pam
their daughter Theresa - 20s,
her gran Betty
his 2nd wife, Jackie -- late 30s+ and
his secretary, Sharon -- 20/30s.

The women plan various fundraising schemes but their most ambitious is to hold a concert featuring local talent and a world famous star who agrees to appear for free! Will they manage to get the theatre up and running? More to the point - will they be able to work together as old tensions resurface?

Chameleons meet every Tuesday and Thursday about 7.15/20 to start rehearsals at 7.30pm, and finish around 10pm -- usually nipping to the Monks Brook for a drink after!
Technical/Dress : Sunday 20th September, 1pm - 3/4pm
Performance - 7.30 curtain up : Thursday 24th , Friday 25th + Saturday 26th September

Where: The Ritchie Hall, Hursley Rd, Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh SO53 2FT

When: Tuesday 17th Feb from 7.30pm

If you can't make Tuesday but interested in auditioning then please get in touch - [email protected]

Please don’t feel excluded if you don’t fit the casting call. There are lots of other roles to get stuck into backstage, technical, front of house etc as well as a host of future productions! So please do come along to meet us and say hello.
