Sorry I’ve been a little quiet on here 🤍 I’ve been really under the weather for the past few weeks and, surprise surprise, trying to just push through it hasn’t exactly helped 🙃

So please bear with me over the next week or so while I try to get myself back to feeling human. Between being poorly, looking after the kids and keeping a small business ticking over, the juggle has been juggling me lately 😂

I will still be here on Thursday for our Macmillan event though 💚 so please do come along, support an amazing cause and say hello. I might just be running on tea and determination by then 😂

Anyway, I won’t bore you with my ailments…

Because apparently while I’ve been distracted, CHRISTMAS CONTRABAND has started sneaking onto the shelves 🎄👀

It’s September. I know. I’m sorry.

But LOOK AT IT 😭🎅🏻🏠✨

The festive takeover has officially begun at Forever After… very, very quietly for now. 😂

💕 Sometimes it’s hard to see how far you’ve come when you’re right in the middle of it.

Forever After seems to have gone up a gear this year, and some weeks I genuinely feel like I’m running just to keep up with it. 😂 But the support we receive from every single person who walks through our door, shops with us, shares a post or tells someone about us is incredible. It makes me so proud of what Forever After has become.

But this post is really for the people behind the scenes. 💕

The small business owners who started as stockists and somewhere along the way became friends.

The ones who take time out of their already busy lives to turn up and help me when I need it. And I can safely say that without you lot this week, I’d probably have been sat amongst a pile of boxes having a little cry. 😂

Moving empty boxes. Sorting stock. Pricing. Cleaning. Helping with the window. All those tiny jobs that don’t sound like much until you’re trying to do every single one of them alone.

Instead, we get busy, put the world to rights, have a laugh and somehow it feels more like a social than work. 🥰

And after the last 48 hours, I can go into my Sunday feeling like I can actually breathe.

Forever After might be my business, but increasingly it feels like it’s become something much bigger than that. A little community of people who show up for each other, and some really wonderful friendships that I never expected when I first started all of this.

So thank you. To my customers, my small businesses, my helpers, my friends and everyone who continues to support this little shop of ours. I’m incredibly grateful. 💕

Have the loveliest weekend everyone. I’m off to do absolutely NOTHING… well, I’ll try. 😂💕

🍂✨ NEW WINDOW DISPLAY DAY! ✨🍂

There’s something ridiculously satisfying about ripping apart the window display and starting all over again 😂

And this one can only mean one thing…

AUTUMN HAS OFFICIALLY ARRIVED AT FOREVER AFTER! 🍁🎃

The summer window has gone and we’re making way for cosy season, with autumn colours, pumpkins, Halloween goodies and lots of gorgeous pieces from the small businesses inside Forever After.

I absolutely LOVE changing the windows with the seasons. It’s one of those jobs that starts with “I’ll just move a couple of things…” and three hours later the entire shop has been rearranged. 😂

If you’re passing through Castleford, come and have a nosey at the new display and then pop inside because there is SO much newness appearing on the shelves at the minute. 👀🍂

Now the important question…

Are we officially allowed to say it’s autumn yet?! 🎃🍁
