Galloway Embroiderers

Galloway Embroiderers We are a friendly group of enthusiastic embroiderers and stitchers who are always delighted to welcome new members.

Formerly this group was the Galloway Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild. We became an independent group in April 2021. No matter what your skill level is or your preferred sewing technique, you will be most welcome and will find our members supportive and happy to share their knowledge. Each year we have a program of talks, workshops and challenges. We meet once a month in Castle Douglas in the pa

rish church hall on the 2nd Tuesday of the month (excluding July & August) from 10.30 to 1500. If you are interested in finding out more please message this page.

My Demetra basket cloth is the newest addition to my collection of basket cloths and I love the cheerful vibe of this geometric design from Greece.

My sweet 'Wash Day in Provence' is now completed! The garden is filled with wild flowers with washing on the line, gently drying in the bright Provence sunshine! It's all free motion machine stitched and appliquéd with a touch of acrylics, measuring 20cms x 20cms (7.9" x 7.9").
I loved stitching this, just imagining I was there! It's now available to purchase in my shop. (will be supplied with a white frame). https://www.amandahartland.com/shop-1
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend! x

New wings. Different sky.

A piece about transformation and adaptation to a new chapter in life … cause sometimes the things we could trust blindly suddenly no longer work.

Be fiercely courageous and keep growing.
The skies will change.
