RAFFLE RESULTS & THANK YOU

We raised a mega £150 for our local cats protection from this raffle, and with the tattooing donations added we raised a crazy £882, Thank you to our 3 artists for putting the graft in and getting insane numbers for charity, and of course thank you to the many cat lovers who came and got forever stamped 😂 we haven’t totalled the cats protection market stall sales yet. 🐈‍⬛

This money is going to help an incredible amount for our local branch, if you are thinking about adopting a cat have a wee look at the Stranraer cats protection and see if your home would be a perfect fit for a cat currently waiting on their forever home ❤️

We really loved hosting another event for cats protection, and I see us hosting more in the years to come! The vibes from the event were immaculate and I couldn’t be happier with how it panned out, even the sunshine came through for us! As always a massive thank you to everyone for popping by or getting a tattoo and keeping everyone in good fettle, a large thank you to our local business stall holders, cats protection stall holders and to Cain for keeping everything flowing and being top raffle salesman. A particularly large thank you to Amanda, Isla, Betti with CDDF and Megan with Stryde Physiotherapy & Acupuncture, without their continued help and support these events wouldn’t be able to thrive the way they do! I am grateful to be apart of such a lovely community and can’t wait for the next one❤️

After the success of last year, we’re so excited to be bringing back our charity tattoo day!

📍 Phat Kat Tattoo, Castle Douglas
📅 Sunday 14th June
⏰ 10am–4pm

✨ Tattoo Flash Day
✨ Mini Market Stalls
✨ Raffle for Cats Protection
✨ Tea, Coffee, Cakes & Refreshments
✨ And of course… good banter to be had 🐱

Every tattoo will include a direct contribution to Cats Protection, with tattoos from £15–£50 across 3 artists, last years event raised approximately £1500 for our local cats protection branch ❤️

⚡ IMPORTANT INFO FOR TATTOOS:
• Flash designs will be finalised and released within the week
• Each artist will have their own flash sheet to work from
• First come, first serve
• We won’t be doing a numbered queue system this year – instead, it’ll simply be whoever is next in line for each artist

Some info;

🐈First come first served (NOT A NUMBER SYSTEM THIS YEAR)
🐈if it’s busy a limit will be placed on the amount you can get to keep it fair.
🐈3 artists working from their own sheets, not each others
🐈MINI MARKET is 10am -4pm TATTOOING IS 10am-6pm
🐈Arm and Leg placements only

When we went to the Athens Tattoo Convention we were… a little unprepared.. we chopped our flights together (over 30 layover hours total) forgot to bring our tattoo bed and were too late to hire one (completely our fault) so last minute we managed to break down one of our arm rests into pieces and shove them in our tiny Ryan air backpacks.. 😭 and yes we got swabbed and searched at every security point for having random metal bars between us 😂 Despite those hiccups, I was able to still complete one of my favourite tattoos/concepts to date and im damn proud I was able to show it off internationally at the Athens Tattoo Convention 👊

Gold chrome dagger torn through a crumpled card, I chose to use skin tones for the shadows as I have previously chopped and changed between flesh tonnes and grey wash in previous sticker projects, honestly it depends on each individual which I choose! I went with flesh tones to try push for a slightly warmer feel rather than a cool grey wash shadow- turned out a bit pinker on the day than I was initially expecting but it’s settled really nicely and still a piece im proud of ❤️

We are shaking in our boots with excitement for our mini market charity event coming up on JUNE 14TH (see yesterdays post) and the much anticipated launch of our Tattoo Process and Aftercare Balm GOLDGLIDE 👹👹✨

After the last post re GoldGlide the first 4 *flavours* being released are;
•Vanilla
•Rhubarb
•Cherry Bakewell
•Mango

We have big plans for seasonal *flavours* as well as bringing other *flavours* as a staple based on your suggestions, baby steps👀

Feeling very excited to finally launch, after months of intense testing in extreme conditions it is still perfect 👌 we are confident it is THEE perfect balm for our tattoo process and healing.
We have just ordered 200 client tins and 100 artist sized tins to start- only upwards from here 💛once the balms are made up and logo-ed we will also be running a giveaway for clients and a mega giveaway for fellow tattoo artists and studios. Big things happening for us at PhatKat, with the balm, charity events, international conventions and more… and we are proud to bring you along 🌝⭐️
