Handrails fitted to older units that allow the small head probe to fit through are forbidden as they are a strangulation risk.

Always consult client in this situation before making such changes to a unit.

This had to be done to ensure this slide would conform to the BS EN 14960 standard , pass its p**a inspection and to ensure it is safe for all users.

Job well done 👏

It is now a requirement that you have an operators manual for your inflatables, these must be made available on the day of your inspection so that I can take a live photo of it.

For those that have inflatables where the manufacturer is no longer trading you must create your own version.

Had a new client today and while testing their inflatables I requested to see the ground stakes (standard practise for any inflatables that is used for outside) this is what my client had been using. This is a reminder that ground stakes and anchorage around inflatables is extremely important and must be taken seriously at all times, even on the beautiful sunny days.

Ground stakes MUST be a minimum of 16mm x 380mm and must be staked within 25mm of ground level.

The current stakes this client was using would not keep any inflatable anchored safely to the ground in the event of strong winds or prevent the inflatable from potentially tipping onto its side.

If you require any stakes please click on the link below and order some directly from Better Bounce:

Are Inflatable Inspections Required?!

Put Simply ..... YES

All equipment which is offered to members of the public for commercial hire or reward is required to have in-service safety inspections. This is standard health and safety law and is irrespective of the industry.

If you directly hire out inflatables, supervise inflatables, or have an inflatable which is accessible by members of the public, a safety inspection is required.

For more information please take a look at the FAQ section on our website....
