This year the school I work in has had a festive door competition! So of course I jumped to help my Mum Christmas up her door with a Nisse (a mischievous but helpful household spirit from Nordic folklore)

So here is me and the door, the door and then some BTS of putting it all together! I had a lot of fun doing this, Christmas feels more festive when I’m making things ✨🎄

Brought a completely different set of materials today: chalks, oil pastels and crayons. 🖍️
Usually use these materials for much bigger pieces but was a fun challenge to try capture what I was seeing on a smaller scale.

May’s life drawing!

Someone remind me to bring things that aren’t pencils and fine liners. Had so much more fun using the borrowed chalks today than my initial pencil and pen drawings. Wasn’t feeling my best at doodles until I gave into just making a bit of a fun mess instead! Art is meant to be FUN AND MESSY!

-Anyway, I can’t remember how long the drawings were.. I think 20mins, 15mins , 10/20 mins and then the last slide 4-5 mins. I did two drawings during our long pose instead of the one today!
