Monday 14th September 8pm. St Mary’s Hall Bolton le Sands.
Following our fun afternoon at the Tower Ballroom and Strictly Come Dancing season approaching I’ve decided to teach a short course of classes.
No partner needed.

Ian and I danced around the famous ballroom with 3 easy sequence dances we both could remember, we had not danced together for over a year!

No one judges you at the Tower, comfortable clothing is worn, outdoor trainers no special footwear.
Trust me to fill you with confidence, the one dance you learn will get you round the floor.

So come and join us. Dancing is FUN!
Note: Learn the dances just for your own enjoyment on a Monday evening at 8pm. No one will be watching you, we will all be busy trying to remember the steps! Xx

A busy class as we started a new term, a super atmosphere.
Following the barre work time for a catch up on Summer adventures.

The 8pm beginners class was well attended and I’m thrilled the ladies had messaged me and enjoyed their first ballet class.

I can explain just a few benefits of this short video.
Performed by my 7pm ladies. Well done.
A step and point en fondu, to improve strength in our feet,
A pas de bo***ée en arrière, three connected steps moving backwards.
A chassé, a gliding step into an arabesque. Using a plié, great for the thighs!
The arabesque lifted to test our balance, practicing a ports de bras.
Our memory and coordination working extremely hard.

The following day a “happy to be dancing body” with a “ can’t wait for next week” thought.
Let’s have a coffee , I need a sit down!

NEWSFLASH!
Taught the dance this morning and “The Hustle”. In our village St Mary’s Hall.
Everyone smiling and so happy to be reunited after a long Summer break.
Our class is a fusion of dance and barre exercises.
Find us every Monday at 10am and 6pm.

Whilst on holiday I taught at the local village hall in Newton Reigny.
All absolute beginners.
“ Saturday Night Fever” line dance.
An enthusiastic group attended my 2nd visit and I taught “The Hustle”
Loving my mobile teaching experience.

A lady called Joanne has sent me an email but I’ve deleted it by accident from my junk!

We meet opposite from Bay View Nurseries.

Autumn Timetable. Adult Classes. Held in St Mary’s Hall Bolton le Sands.
September 7th.
Monday 10am. and 6pm. Dance fitness.
Barre exercises to tone and strengthen. A social hour includes great music, easy to follow routines and friendly faces.

Tuesday 10am Our “Outdoor Stars” Dance fitness.
Opposite Bay View Nurseries.
Fresh air + exercise! 30 minutes to kick start your day.

Tuesday 7pm
Adult Tap. Come and learn a new skill.
No gym equipment, no exercise bands, no Lycra, no pressure.
Just fun hearing your feet create great rhythms within a few weeks.
I have some new to you tap shoes for a taster session.

Wednesday
Adult Ballet 7pm
Beginners Ballet 8pm.
Tried and tested classical flowing movements to beautiful inspiring music.
All exercises modified to suit every ability.
Three weeks in a beginners class and you will be hooked!

Brilliant afternoon dancing at The Tower Ballroom.
With no rehearsal for months Ian and I danced a Rumba, Swing and Waltz.
A couple of gentlemen invited me to dance.
I soon found myself being whizzed around the floor in a quickstep and cha cha. Fabulous fun.
Still smiling! ###

The Autumn term timetable.
Monday Dance Exercise September 7th 10am and 6pm.
Tuesday Adult Tap Sept. 8th 7pm
Adult Ballet Wednesday Sept 9th 7pm.

Childrens timetable remains the same. I bet there has been some growth spurts.
Week beginning 7th September
Saturday pupils 12th September.
Good luck to pupils starting Primary, Senior, College and University.
Spaces available in the Pre school dance sessions.

Random meeting of a stranger whilst cycling the village of Newton Reigny.
A day later teaching a dance exercise session to Lindsey, Jane, Patience and Willow.
A”nutty cluster” of very excited and happy dancers.
You never know what’s round the next corner?
Ian joined me as we enjoyed the spectacular views back to our caravan.
Touring dance teacher now added to my CV.
Such joy. Xx
