Our set designer, Catherine Rimmer, created these moodboards at the beginning of their creative design process. Each moodboard is dedicated to its own act, one through four respectively.
She said that "The inspiration for the set design of The Admirable Crichton was drawn from the contrast between the refined, aristocratic world of the Loam House and the rugged setting of the desert island. I aimed to create a visual representation of the class divide and the transformative journey of the characters, whilst playing on the similarities of both environments to aid this drastic transformation during a small studio piece. This visual juxtaposition between scenes will highlight the themes of survival, social hierarchy, and transformation central to the story."
