Traditional Japanese Koi Tattoo – Work in Progress

Absolutely loved creating this piece—traditional Japanese is right where my heart is, and this koi was such a joy to bring to life!

That said… it’s definitely not finished yet! We’ve got the foundation down, but I’m already so excited for next time: adding rich, vibrant colour to the lotus flower, layering in all those fine details, and really making it flow fully.

Can’t wait to see it complete—this one’s going to be stunning when it’s all done. Big thanks to the client for the trust, and I’m already counting down until we get back to it!

Stepping right out of my comfort zone and loving every second of it!

As you know, my home is bold, classic traditional tattoos—but I’ll always jump at the chance to push my skills when the piece means this much. This is a realistic portrait for Alex, a deeply special tribute to his beautiful daughter.

Realism isn’t my usual go-to style, so I set to work with one big goal: get it right. No way was this ending up looking like Sloth from The Goonies 😅—we needed her, exactly her. I’m so proud to say it turned out exactly as I hoped, and even better: Alex was over the moon.

Huge thank you to Alex for trusting me with such a precious memory—your patience and faith meant everything. This experience reminded me how much I want to take on more realism and portrait work moving forward—challenging, rewarding, and so worth it.

TATTOO FOR AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND

Got to do these two for one of the most amazing dads I’ve had the pleasure of meeting 🫡

He’s raised these twin boys completely on his own since they were tiny – and he’s been through so much along the way, but you’d never know it. He doesn’t just look after them; he also pours every spare minute he has into coaching the local rugby team,

Each lad picked their own dinosaur for him – one chose the cowboy T-Rex for Kyle, the other the tough Triceratops for Scott – and he wears them with so much pride.

Raising twins solo is hard enough as it is, but to do it with this much heart, to give so much back to the community, and to bring up such decent kids? It takes a special kind of man. I take my hat right off to him – he deserves every bit of praise and respect there is. Absolute top bloke, and an inspiration of a dad.

The greatest honour to create this for the strongest lady I know

This beautiful piece holds more love, memory and meaning than words could ever say.

In the most heartbreaking of circumstances, she has lost her darling daughter in a tragic accident — and only one week later, her beloved mum passed away from broken heart syndrome, gone to be with her. Two unimaginable losses, and she has shown such incredible strength through every single day.

There is such a beautiful, tender thread running through their story: her daughter had a dragonfly tattoo she loved dearly — and her mum got a dragonfly tattoo in her memory. Now they are both here, carried together forever.

This tattoo holds every precious memory of her wonderful Mam:
Welsh Daffodil — her Welsh roots, pride, and bright, gentle spirit
Heart — with Mam at its centre, for the love that will always be her foundation
Bumble Bee — a sweet reminder that love stays close always
Rugby Ball with the Welsh Dragon — for all those perfect memories: sneaking off in “borrowed” cars, travelling all over to cheer on family, pushing her in a pram to matches before she could even walk, and gifting her that lifelong passion for the game.

And woven through it all, the quiet promise: the dragonflies are with them too. Three generations, bound by love, never far apart.

It was a privilege again to be trusted with doing another tattoo for her with such incredible meaning and hopefully we are helping her with her grieving process by offering support and a safe place for her to talk and reminisce. You are so incredibly brave, and they are so, so proud of you.

This one was so much fun to create for Gemma — a twist on the classic panther, woven full of flowers to make it totally unique. I love getting to lean into what I do best: timeless, punchy traditional work that stands out and holds its shape perfectly for years to come.

✨ A tattoo that holds so much love & meaning ✨

A few years back, I had the absolute pleasure of tattooing the loveliest girl named Annie — it was her very first tattoo, a dragonfly placed beautifully on her thigh.

Just a few weeks ago, my heart broke hearing the terrible news: whilst travelling in Australia, Annie was involved in an accident and sadly lost her life. 💔

Not long after, I received a message from Annie’s mum. She told me how much she loved that dragonfly design, and wanted to get exactly the same one tattooed and only wanted by me — to carry a little piece of her daughter with her forever.

I went digging through all my old drawings and files… and unbelievably, found the exact original stencil I’d made a few years ago for Annie 🥹 The only change her mum had asked for, was to have Soft shades of pink and purple added to the wings — Annie’s absolute favourite colours.

Today we had her mum in again and created this special piece. It was such an honour and deeply moving experience. For hours we shared stories of Annie.

Sometimes this job truly surprises you — it’s never just ink. It’s memory, connection, love, and keeping someone’s light shining bright forever. 🩷💜

Rest peacefully, sweet Annie — your spirit lives on in so many ways
