Nat from Munroe Aesthetics & Skin Clinic and Laura from Oak & Elephant Art Events are collaborating every month to bring you a unique fusion of creativity and self-care in the gorgeous Crown Lane Cellar in Carlisle 🎨🧖🏼‍♀️🥂

Wellness & Watercolours is all about switching off for a couple of hours and doing something a little different.

Laura guides you step-by-step through creating your own watercolour painting - absolutely no experience needed - while Nat takes you through a relaxing, follow-along facial using professional skincare, with plenty of tips and advice along the way.

Add in a glass of fizz, a relaxed atmosphere and a room full of lovely people, and you’ve got the perfect little evening out - whether you come with friends or fancy coming along solo you will be SO welcome.

Last Friday I quietly ran a new art session. I've been developing this in the background, around other life commitments and work, as it's a space I really wanted when I was a young creative and when i'm sufferring from art block.
Just a gentle space, filled with art supplies, some enouragements and support to get you making marks and finding your painting along the way.
I will be aiming to run this session once a month to start, next dates to be announced soon.

We had a wonderful first session last month and are looking forward to welcoming everyone again for our next session this Friday! Such an amazing experience to have an idea for an event, and then see it cme alve and people respond to it so well!

Oak & Elephant are going to Gadabout Festival!!
Amazing, locally run festival on the 24th and 25th July!

We will be running an art tent, a nice chill space away from the main stages to just sit and be a bit creative. We will also be getting creative Andy Goldsworthy style in their river, because it is a river childhood dreams are made from!

I've experienced alot of creative blocks, they suck, and the harder you push to get through them, the worse they can feel.
So, Mindful mark-making is an offering to people who want to be creative again, have more time spent enjoying laying down colour and marks in their lives. And for whatever reason, there's a block/ barrier.
This sessions is a low effort entry point back into being a bit more creative.

I offer all my studio art supplies and guide everyone through relaxing, listening and starting to have fun making marks.
After a short break, we will play with the design of our marks, turning them into a simple finished artwork.
Leaving you to return home feeling a bit more creatively nourished and perhaps mre relaxed to work on your own creative projects again.
