Wow...what an afternoon at our first Absolute Beginners Crochet Class.

Today, four lovely people took their first steps in their crochet journey.

Learning a new skill isn't always easy. In fact, crochet is quite tricky to get your head (and hands) around.

And I'm positive that with a little practice they will be well on their way to creating lots of wonderful handmade things.

Thank you to those who put their trust in me and came along today. It means the world to be able to share this craft with you all.

With only two days to go, there's just enough time to book your tickets for our Absolute Beginners Crochet Class

This Saturday a small group of beginners will get together to learn the absolute basics of crochet.

We are going to start right from the beginning, so even if you have never picked up a hook before, we've got you.

By the end of this 3-hour class, you will be armed with all the knowledge you need to get started and will have successfully made your very first granny square.

All materials, including teas and coffee, will be included.

Saturday 29th Aug - 12 to 3pm

Great Home Ed Art Club session today.

Big thanks to Lizzy from Cumbria Wildlife Trust who helped the kids with planting flowers around the Aspen Hut and also guided them while pond dipping.

And sandwiched in between we made cardboard bugs.

Today was lots of fun and thanks to those that came along. We'd love to see you next time.

Our next session will be a hedgehog themed session with hedgehog based crafts and a walk n talk with Gary, a volunteer hedgehog rescuer.

Join us at Gosling S**e on Tuesday 8th September at 11am.

It was great to be back at Sip and Stitch this afternoon.

I really do love this little creative community we're building at Restore Carlisle with such a fantastic and supportive group of people.

Big shout out celebrations for Vanessa and Carol.

Vanessa brought in her very first pair of knitted socks to show everyone... How amazing are they.

And Carol took a chance to come along and try crochet again. She hadn't crocheted since she was a little girl with her grandmother. With a little guidance she quickly got the hang of it. 😍

If you would like to join our next gathering well be back on Sat 5th September at 2pm.

I'm so excited to have our fortnightly crochet, knitting and much more social group back at Restore Carlisle on Castle Street Carlisle.
