Popped into the Cathedral to check out the Museum of the Moon, but I reckon they got the wrong delivery! That is definitely a giant ball of Wensleydale. 🧀

Looks like Wallace and Gromit have already landed with their rocket. They are absolutely going to eat the whole thing. Guess the moon really is made of cheese after all! 🚀🌕

Had a brilliant time today with the Carlisle Urban Sketchers!

We grabbed our spots on English Street and I focused on the corner building near Citadel Row. I had to shoot off early, but I still managed to get this sketch.

Always great to see our city from a new perspective. 🎨🏙️

Thrilled to share 'Silence of the Keep', the newest addition to my Carlisle series and my first ever triptych! 🎨

For this piece, I really wanted to capture the fortress stretching across the scene, balancing the historic stone walls and vibrant green banks set right against those soft, pink sunset clouds.

My sister actually gave me the idea to try triptych, and it has been a brilliant challenge getting the landscape and the horizon line to flow seamlessly across all three panels. It sits perfectly alongside 'Shadow of the Mill', 'Carlisle Cathedral', 'Echoes of the Dye Works', and 'The Bridge and the Bastion' as I continue exploring our beautiful local heritage.

🖼️ Prints Available:
Both versions (the full continuous panoramic image and the split triptych layout) are available to order directly through me as giclée prints in any size up to the original canvas. They have been professionally scanned and colour matched to the original canvas, as you can see in the photos! Drop me a message if you would like to order one.

A little pause in the studio! 🎨☀️

I have decided to step away from the easel for a few days while this recent heatwave has been passing through.

It has been far too warm to paint, and I think the brushes deserve a little rest while things cool down!

I am taking this time to catch up on some admin and get ready for some exciting new print projects I have coming up.

Normal service will be resumed as soon as it is a little more comfortable to work. Thanks for your patience, and I hope you are all keeping cool out there! 🧊

I have had a few people ask if my original paintings are available for purchase, so I wanted to share a quick update. While my prints are a fantastic way to enjoy my work, there is something truly special about the original painting. The texture, the raw brushstrokes, and the time spent in front of the easel make each piece unique. 🎨✨

If you are looking for that one of a kind piece to serve as a statement in your home, I have decided to open my current collection for sale.
