I painted this as a surprise gift for my better half for our anniversary today. I am really happy with how the details and the meadow came together.

A little behind the scenes look at the studio today.

My wonderful better half and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary this Saturday, so I am putting the finishing touches on this painting just for her.

The colours and composition are starting to take shape beautifully.

Just a little update, been really busy doing commissions for people. Hopefully be back to the Carlisle paintings at the end of august.

My website is down at the moment as I self host and changed internet service providers, trying to get that back online as soon as possible.

Another lovely commission completed for a private collection! 🎨 It was a joy to capture this sweet little one on canvas. 🐶

I have just one more private commission to finish, and then I will be diving straight back into my series of Carlisle paintings.

A little pause in the studio! 🎨☀️

I have decided to step away from the easel for a few days while this recent heatwave has been passing through.

It has been far too warm to paint, and I think the brushes deserve a little rest while things cool down!

I am taking this time to catch up on some admin and get ready for some exciting new print projects I have coming up.

Normal service will be resumed as soon as it is a little more comfortable to work. Thanks for your patience, and I hope you are all keeping cool out there! 🧊

I have had a few people ask if my original paintings are available for purchase, so I wanted to share a quick update. While my prints are a fantastic way to enjoy my work, there is something truly special about the original painting. The texture, the raw brushstrokes, and the time spent in front of the easel make each piece unique. 🎨✨

I have been working closely with my local printers in Brampton to get these exactly right. They handle the professional mounting for me, which is a huge help and ensures the prints arrive with a beautiful, gallery-ready finish. It makes it so much easier for you to take them straight to a local framer to get them finished perfectly. 🖌️😊

I am absolutely blown away by the response to my latest painting of Dixon’s Chimney (Shadow of the Mill)! 🎨 Thank you all so much for the kind words, as it has been such a fun piece to work on. 🏗️✨

I have had a lot of interest in prints, so I have been down to the printers in Brampton to get them sorted. 🖨️ Following some great advice, both the 24 x 39 cm and the 30 x 50 cm versions will now be available. 📏 I know not everyone has the wall space for the larger size, so having both options means you can find the perfect fit for your home! 🏠🖼️

While the 30 x 50 cm version really captures the full detail in the stonework and texture of the original piece, the 24 x 39 cm print is a lovely alternative for smaller spaces. 🧱🔍
