Starts tonight!
An invitation from Urban Village Community Theatre
Introduction to Forum Theatre.
We have over 25 years’ experience in these techniques, having trained with the founder Brazilian Director Augusto Boal.
We are running a short series of workshops and is this an open invitation to this style of theatre that we use, where audiences are invited to take part in the show.
We will be exploring exercises games and theatre activities to highlight how to bring peoples stories and experiences to an audience.
The workshops will take place on Tuesday evenings from 6.30 pm to give a taster of the power that Forum Theatre can have, in voicing issues, building confidence, and achieving wellbeing in a safe environment.
We welcome anyone who has not taken part in Forum Theatre training with us before. No experience necessary.

Our friends at the Green Room.

Only 19 days to go until the return of Alan Bennett’s work to our stage. Talking Heads: ‘A Chip In The Sugar’ & ‘A Woman Of No Importance’ starring 2 of our finest actors, Jason Munn & Sarah Waters.

Shows start at 7:30pm (doors/bar open at 6.30pm) from Monday 22 August and run for 6 nights.

Rehearsals began last night for our production of "Being Good" cast helped plan and develop characters and plot. We are still looking for people to be part of the play, messenger us if you're interested. Everyone gets a part! No auditions! Totally inclusive community theatre. Please share.
