Weve been a bit rubbish on the old socials lately, its been a busy season to say the least!
Spring has been one of our busiest yet, and Easter has been no different, last week alone we had 27 performances across 2 venues plus an Awards Ceremony then flipping one venue over night to welcome the NHS Blood Service Team onto site this morning. This week is a little bit quieter, so its great to have the lovely teams from Stage Sound Services and DiGiCo delivering training in the Burton for a few days! (Someone better hide the PO book) 😍

Not your average scene in the Bute Theatre last week!
Massive congratulations to all the Stage Management & Technical Students who worked with the SU to produce Friday's "Broadway Rave". Great to see our MA3 being put to good use as a busking console for the night, alongside any mover and LED batten they could lay their hands on :-D

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama - Coleg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymru is opening its doors on Wednesday 1st October 2025 for a special ROBE lighting Open House event.

Drop in anytime between 10am and 3pm to explore the very latest lighting gear from Robe, plus innovations from Avolites, Artistic Licence and MDG Fog Generators. Whether you’re into fixtures, lighting desks or just fancy catching up with others in the industry, it’s the perfect chance to see what’s new and get hands-on.

We’ll be there all day — come along, check out the kit, and let’s talk lighting!

We had a great few days with the lovely teams from Stage Sound Services and Canford Audio Limited this week, learning all things Green-Go, getting to grips with the full capability of our new comms! Only issue is, we now have a REALLY big shopping list 😍🤣🤣

Well the fairy lights are out in force this year! We might have gotten a bit carried away but it is Christmas after all! Our Carne Foyer is now looking suitable festive ready for our first Christmas event this weekend!

Huge thanks to the lovely team in the Music Office who came down to help us decorate the tree again, its becoming a bit of a tradition now 😆

At the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, silence fell over as staff and students stood to remember.

We unite across faiths, cultures, and backgrounds to remember the service and sacrifice of those within our community and beyond who have defended our freedoms.
