Accôrdia Choir Cardiff

Accôrdia Choir Cardiff Accôrdia is a contemporary choir in Cardiff. No need to read music, no previous singing experience needed and no audition! Sessions cost £5.

We cater to a wide range of ability levels and music genres, including rock, pop, soul, classical, folk, musical theatre and jazz. Accôrdia Choir started off in 2015 under a different name, with Cardiff musician Isabel Thomas. After taking a break over 2020, organising a handful of online singing and social events over lockdown, the choir is returning for 2021 with a brand new name and identity! C

hoir rehearsals are fun, exciting, and most important - easily accessible to everyone. You will not have to audition to join any of our choirs, everyone is welcome! You will always sing with a group, and at no point will you have to sing any part on your own. We use 'call and response' which means your part will be played and sung to you and your group and you will repeat it back with other people - never on your own. Solos are of course available to those who are feeling brave! Get in touch with us if you're interested in joining or would like some more info.

We had.a fabulous afternoon at St Thomas' Church Annual Flower Festival, 'Birchgrove in Bloom'. Plenty of flowers, cakes, singing and stalls. True community spirit 🌺🧁🎼

Well that's a wrap for the Spring term 🌾 How time flies when you're having fun. We've learned some smashing songs, and fun facts about our members this term, including a kiss from Anthony Hopkins and a meeting with ABBA! 🎤 Most importantly, a big heartfelt thanks to our members for making Accôrdia the fun, sharing community it is ❤

It's been a fabulous Autumn term at Accôrdia Choir Cardiff. We're immensely proud to have raised £1093 for Rachel's Day Sepsis Awareness Events and Information through our concert and busking. Thank you for all of your support. We're also proud to have helped raise funds for Breast Cancer Now through their annual Christmas busking in St David's shopping centre.

A fabulous morning busking at Tesco Pengam Green. All of us at Accôrdia were truly overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown. Together, we raised £350 for Rachel’s Day, in partnership with The UK Sepsis Trust 🧡💛💚

A special thank you to Jason, pictured with his daughter Rita, who not only donated to the charity but also treated us to 22 tubs of Quality Street, one for each of us! 🍬

Our heartfelt thanks go to Jason and Rita, Tesco for hosting us, to Bernie (choir member) for organising the collection, and to the rest of our choir members for the incredible joy you bring to one another and to everyone around you
