Accôrdia Choir Cardiff Accôrdia is a contemporary choir in Cardiff. No need to read music, no previous singing experience needed and no audition! Sessions cost £5.

We cater to a wide range of ability levels and music genres, including rock, pop, soul, classical, folk, musical theatre and jazz. Accôrdia Choir started off in 2015 under a different name, with Cardiff musician Isabel Thomas. After taking a break over 2020, organising a handful of online singing and social events over lockdown, the choir is returning for 2021 with a brand new name and identity! C

hoir rehearsals are fun, exciting, and most important - easily accessible to everyone. You will not have to audition to join any of our choirs, everyone is welcome! You will always sing with a group, and at no point will you have to sing any part on your own. We use 'call and response' which means your part will be played and sung to you and your group and you will repeat it back with other people - never on your own. Solos are of course available to those who are feeling brave! Get in touch with us if you're interested in joining or would like some more info.

How is it August already?! 😮

As we take a break for the Summer we just wanted to share the good work achieved this year fundraising for both The UK Sepsis Trust and Alzheimer's Society 🧡💛💚💙

Not only do we get to contribute funds raised to fantastic charities, we also allow opportunity for members of the public to share stories and experiences through busking, and coffee afternoons. We have built an incredible community and you are ALL welcome. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support.

This year, we're proud to be supporting Alzheimer's Society through our annual Summer Concert.

One of the charity's wonderful initiatives is Singing for the Brain, providing sessions that use the power of music to bring people living with dementia together. Research shows that our ability to respond to music is often one of the last things affected by dementia. A familiar song can unlock memories, evoke emotions, and provide comfort and social connection.

Below are a selection of books that explore the profound impact singing can have on our mental wellbeing.

We're pleased to announce that Samantha Cello will be opening our Summer Concert with some Bach and more 🎻

Originally from Ohio, USA, Samantha is a professional Cellist based in Cardiff, having studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. We're very excited for her to be joining us!

It's that time of year again! Join Accôrdia Choir for an evening of song, laughter and good cheer!nFrom jazz classics like Summertime to the disco magic of ABBA, we've got a vibrant programme guaranteed to have your toes tapping.

All ticket profits will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society and the incredible work they do supporting people living with dementia, and those who care for them. Music has a unique power to unlock memories, bring comfort, and connect us in ways that words often can't, making this a cause especially close to our hearts 💙

We had.a fabulous afternoon at St Thomas' Church Annual Flower Festival, 'Birchgrove in Bloom'. Plenty of flowers, cakes, singing and stalls. True community spirit 🌺🧁🎼

£1111 was raised for Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity. A huge well done to the St Thomas team. See you next year! ♥️
