Today, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our Music Director, Tomáš Hanus, as he conducts his final concert with WNO Orchestra at Fishguard Festival of Music.

Joined by Welsh baritone Steffan Lloyd Owen, this moving programme journeys through the heart of Central Europe, from the vivid landscapes of Smetana's Má vlast and the nostalgic beauty of Butterworth's Six Songs from A Shropshire Lad, to the profound power of Brahms' Fourth Symphony.

Whether you've followed Tomáš's remarkable journey with us or are simply looking for an unforgettable evening of music, we'd love you to join us for this special farewell.

Heddiw, rydym yn ffarwelio'n gynnes â'n Cyfarwyddwr Cerdd, Tomáš Hanus, wrth iddo arwain ei gyngerdd olaf gydag Orchestra Opera Cenedlaethol Cymru yng Ngŵyl Gerdd Abergwaun.

Join us in Fishguard Festival of Music later this month (17 July) for a very special evening as Music Director Tomáš Hanus conducts his final performance of his tenure with Welsh National Opera.

The concert will include Bedřich Smetana: My Country ‘“Šárka’” & ‘“From Bohemia’s Woods and Fields’” and Johannes Brahms: Symphony No.4 in E minor, Op 98

Owain Rowlands shares one of his favourite musical works ahead of this Sunday's Associate Artist Recital.

Originally from Carmarthen, Owain is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and has appeared in numerous productions with Welsh National Opera / Opera Cenedlaethol Cymru. His performances include touring schools productions as well as the acclaimed Blaze of Glory!
