- MONDAY - 6.30-8pm Street Dance Class at IMPACT STUDIO, Shaftesbury Av.

**WHAT WE ARE ABOUT!**
LoveDance are open classes that cater for a range of ages/levels. We not only aim to provide fitness and Street Dance choreography to some RnB tunes, but to also create a relaxed social vibe, where people come to not only burn calories but to have some fun! In LoveDance you'll be getting a range of styles in our classes, some that maybe you haven't tried out before (e.g. Commercial - think of MTV backing dancer, or Vogue - think Madonna, or Locking - a very funky "happy" style). It’s great to get stuck in and try something new. By supplying lots of different styles, it means not only do you have the opportunity to learn a diverse range of choreography but if you don’t like one dance style we have plenty more! You got a request, name it and we’ll aim to deliver!! MEET THE TEACHERS!
* KIMBERLEE is the pocket rocket and original founder of LoveDance Cardiff. Her passion is creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere for all abilities whilst also making sure everyone in class gets a good sweat on! Our classes are all about sharing the love (hence the name!) and expressing, not impressing… although we usually feel pretty impressed with ourselves after class!! Being a self taught hip hop / street dancer and choreographer Kimberlee’s style has an old school vibe where she specialises in House, Locking and Street. But to be honest she has dabbled in many styles over the years! For Kimberlee, there has been a lot of different dance projects, classes and jobs (one of which included dressing up as a giant daffodil), but teaching for LoveDance is her absolute favourite where she gets to forget about life just for an hour! Although her passion is dance, Kimberlee has a degree and Masters Criminology and use to be a county swimmer! She is now a Mum of two little ones and has recently opened a private Hearing company with her partner! She loves beef monster munch and most of her friends and work colleagues know her as “Bob” (adopted nickname)!
* CAITLIN has been dancing in Cardiff for longer than she'd like to admit, and has been a part of the LoveDance team since 2017. Caitlin met Kim through Slash Hip Hop society in the distant past, and they have been dancing together ever since. Caitlin, Kim and Hannah have done a lot of performances and gigs together over the years, including festivals, nightclubs, and even dressing up as promotional smoothies - but nothing compares to the amazing energy our wonderful LoveDancers bring to class every week. Caitlin brings energy, enthusiasm and at times a total lack of coordination to the team, and is a teacher at the Cardiff classes. Caitlin's style is a real mix, but she likes to keep it commercial and sassy whenever possible! If there's an absolute bop from the early noughties, then we've probably done some choreo to it! The focus is always on fun, fitness and feeling free in LoveDance classes, so whatever your ability or confidence - come and join in and be sure of a warm welcome.
* HANNAH is a professional dancer who started with LoveDance in Cardiff waaaayyy back in 2014. She has since moved to London and is bringing the Love of Dance to the London scene. In her classes she always wants the emphasis to be on having fun. She fell in love with dance thanks to an amazing teacher, and therefore wants to pass this love on. Being a commercial dancer by trade, Han has been trained in a number of different styles. She received her technical training at Rubicon Dance, however the majority of her training has consisted of taking open class with industry professionals and immersing herself in the underground scene. This means she brings a different flavour to class each week. In her classes we’ve done: commercial, hip-hop, 90’s cheese, jive, salsa, lyrical…you name it… and that is what LoveDance is about! Han met Kim through the Lady Gaga tribute act the two of them dance for; and met Caitlin through the Psychology course they both studied at Cardiff Uni…and all three have danced together happily ever after!! Han is known as the team member who uses the most ‘interesting’ sounds as she teaches….some have even said she should release an album! Who knows…maybe one day!
* RHIANN is one of the newest members of the LoveDance team but she has been dancing alongside Hannah, Kim and Caitlin for the last 10 years. They have performed together at events such as L’Oréal fashion shows, X music festival and as backing dancers for the Lady Gaga tribute act - Donna Marie. Rhiann has a BA (hons) degree in dance from Cardiff Metropolitan university and she has been teaching dance to children and adults for the last 10 years. Rhiann teaches a range of dance styles that vary from contemporary to street dance and has recently started her own heels class. Although Rhiann is a feisty and eccentric dancer, she is currently a primary school teacher who also practises yoga and has her heart set on gaining her yoga teacher training qualification. Watch this space for LoveDance yoga! Welcome to the team Rhiann. KLAUDIA - LoveDance is going international with our first Polish teacher….Klauda aka Klaud ❤️🔥
You will catch Klaudia teaching the Wednesday 6-7pm classes in Cardiff (alongside Rhi and Caitlin)! Klaudia has been coming to LoveDance classes since the very beginning! Her dance journey in Cardiff started around 11 years ago when she joined Rubicon Dance. This is where she met Kim (our founder of LD)! Her hard work landed her a spot at one of the performance groups where she later met Hannah and Caitlin (our existing LDteachers)! Klaudia has shared the stage with all of our current teachers especially when performing for the Lady Gaga Tribute Act over the years. Some of the gigs include festivals, pride, night clubs and even in Spain ☀️
During her years as a dancer, Klaudia has trained in few different styles including street, hip-hop, house, locking and commercial. However, the most important aspect of dance for Klaudia is having fun and being part of dance family! In her spare time Klaudia is a busy dog mum finishing her Masters in Psychology!
