Here’s last nights stream from round nine of the semi slick racing f1 2022 league at spa!

This was a fantastic race, I ran a super low downforce setup, but with x3 tyre wear, tyre degradation was always gonna be tricky to manage!!

Starting on mediums we managed to work our way to the front of the grid with a clear straight line advantage, in hindsight i pitted for softs a lap or two early, leaving alot to do in the final stint.

with 6 laps left i found myself p1 with Alain fry the beast of le mans chasing me hard, i quickly realised that defence with the difference in tyre was pointless, at this point i decided my battle was with Delerhon for 2nd place, which i lost on the very last corner!! You may notice i left energy deployment on full for the final time around the second sector, this was a very costly mistake, with the car attempting to kill me multiple times!!

All in all a massively enjoyable strategic race 🏁🏁🏁

stayed on waaaaaay to late door diving tonight, and having my door dived 👀👀 probs to the random polish dude i came across in lobby in the 180sx, absolute bandit!!! too much fun!!

this is a massive mile stone for me! after a fickle start with Assetto Corsa competizione, i finally started to find a ffb profile that worked for me and knuckled down! after around 56 hours of game time i’ve finally started to set some lap times i can be proud of!

even though i’m faster than the real world lap time there’s still faster lads on the sim, so work still to do, but as they say rome wasn’t built in a day! Set yourself daily targets, one step at a time, i’ve gained 2.5 seconds on this lap time over the last week! each day squeezing .100’s out lap after lap, soon the seemingly impossible became possible!

RaceRoom ADAC GT Masters race 2 race report
Brands hatch

much shorter 5 minute qualifying session for race 2.. decided to go at this at 90% to ensure i set times early on and it paid dividence, p7 starting postion from 32.

Much the same again of the start, lost one place making sure i didn’t jump and get a penalty, and this time i was at the sharper end of the grid you could really feel it, being pushed much harder by the opposition, looking for gaps at every opportunity, after a couple of early defensive laps, i decided attack was the best formof defense, ignoring the rear view mirror and concentrating on the cars in front, having some of the hardest fought battles i’ve ever had on a race track, only picked up one place finishing 6th but forfilled my goals of finishing top ten and being positive gaining positions in the race!
