What a wonderful evening at last week’s performance of 🎶 Duke Ellington’s *Sacred Concert 🎶 with CCJO 🎷. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a special occasion.

This clip features the fabulous whose breathtaking tap dancing added another dimension to Ellington’s music. Her musicianship, energy and precision were simply outstanding.

🎶 What a night! 🎶

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night for our performance of Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concertat The Gate.

To perform to a 🌟 full house 🌟 on such a hot summer evening ☀️ was truly special. The warmth and enthusiasm from the audience, culminating in a wonderful standing ovation 👏, made it an unforgettable occasion for everyone on stage.

Our heartfelt thanks to the incredible 🎷 Capital City Jazz Orchestra, 🎵 soprano Claire Watkins, 🎶 Music Director David Leggett, 🎹 accompanist Nicola Rose, and every member of Cardiff Ardwyn Singers for bringing this remarkable work to life.

Thank you for your support—we hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did!

🎶 A very special rehearsal!🎶

We were delighted to welcome composer Barry Rose to a recent Cantorion Ardwyn rehearsal, where he worked with us on his beautiful arrangement of 🎶 Love’s Old Sweet Song 🎶

We’re honoured that Barry will also be conducting the piece at our performance of Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concert on Saturday 11 July at The Gate, Roath.

Making the occasion even more special, Barry is also the father of our wonderful accompanist – a lovely family connection that made the evening even more memorable.
