Good morning everybody

So I thought I would share the tail end of my first job of the day!

I am aware that I’m speaking quiet this is because Lucy works from home and I didn’t want to disturb her, so hopefully you’ll be able to hear!

I carried out a 50% water change, cleaned the filter in aquarium water, cleaned all the rocks and ornaments and substrate of course gave a deep algae clean and then introduced the new water which was treated with Sechem Prime and stability

As you know, I’ve taken a week off and now I am ready to build up some positive momentum and look after all your amazing customers as normal.

I thought I would share my day with you as I don’t often create reels like this, just to give you an insight into my first day back.

You may have noticed that I have taken my summer week off, I enjoyed my break and I am eager to pick up where we left off and look after all you amazing customers.

Good morning everybody.

This week I visited one of my Customer’s parents to recover their beautiful garden Pond, as you can see from the photographs without exaggeration, the water was a green sludge.

This particular pond was built by my customers father many years ago and it has a great deal of sentimental value to the family, so it was very important to me to bring it back to life and back to its former glory.

With the pond in this condition I have found from experience that the only thing you can do is strip it back completely and start again.

In order to keep the water stable, I did not touch the filter box or filtration system just gave it a rinse through so that all the anaerobic bacteria will keep the Ponds water chemistry stable, we also treated the water with a water conditioner and bacteria.

As you can see, we have left no stone unturned and every single inch of this Pond was scrubbed and cleaned until we got the end result that our customers deserved.

The end result that you can see in this post was through hard work and experience of looking after ponds for many years, we offer the absolute highest of professional standards and take pride in seeing our customers expectations met.

Good morning everybody.

This week we visited a customer that had missed a few maintenance visits over the last few months and it would be a perfect example of why you need to keep your aquarium regularly maintained.

After a few hours and a lot of work you can see we managed to get a fantastic and result with the Customer was very happy with.

Im pleased to say they have now decided to book in on a regular basis.

Good morning everybody.

Yesterday we made a visit to Gabalfa to maintain this beautiful colourful aquarium for one of our regular customers.

During the visit, I enjoyed experimenting with the Fluval Sky LED light, it’s very interesting to see how the colours of the fish change depending on what light spectrum you use.

As you can see, it was a great result on the Customer was very happy!

Goodmorning everyone.

Well we have had a busy week at Mikeys Aquatic Services.

Our customers have utilised nearly all the services that we provide.

This week we have had a variety of different jobs, heres an example of just a few lets start with changing a UV bulb in pond filter to aquarium relocations, fish rehoming projects and some landscaping in the mix too! We even visited Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales for our regular maintenance of their aquarium, and we repainted a summer house and brought a pond back to life too !

We are so grateful and thankful for all the support we receive from everyone!

Yesterday, I went to visit an old colleague and dear friend name Richie, who is now a regular customer!

I really enjoy maintaining Richies aquarium, as I know firsthand how stressful his profession is and the fact that I can provide him with some decompression and escapism after a hard shift means the world to me !

Good morning everybody.

Yesterday we went to visit Belinda one of our regular customers who we have known since our days in Aquatic World!

As you can see, she is the proud owner of these two lovely aquariums, this visit it was time to maintain the external filters as well as the aquariums.

It was a busy visit, but as you can see the end results were great and I’m pleased to say that Belinda was very happy.

Good-morning everyone.

A slightly different post to normal, but one that I think needs addressing as I have had the same conversation with several people this week, this is absolutely not directed at anyone in individually.

We have experienced 35° heat and intense sunshine, this is not normal weather for the UK and so our Ponds have reacted intensely and in a way they wouldn’t usually!

I have had a few phone calls and they have gone along the lines of you did our Pond a few months ago and now it’s completely green, these calls coming after customers not taking advice of having them monthly maintained.

Sooooooooooo…..

YES that’s exactly what happens in this heat and intense sun and when your pond is not regularly maintained 🤦🏼‍♂️

I can offer advice on treatments, UV Lighting systems, equipment, tips on water changing etc…..

BUT….. things I cannot be responsible for are the weather, customers deciding to not accept my advice of monthly regular maintenace and ponds that have not been touched in months since my last visit.
