Want to develop your percussion-writing skills? Work with one of the best in the business over a series of workshops to learn the tricks and tips for composing for this versatile set of instruments.

Our percussionist for this project, Julian Warburton, is a long-standing principal player with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, and has collaborated closely with composers including Thomas Adès, Harrison Birtwistle and Oliver Knussen. He is Professor of Percussion and Director of Ensemble at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

Atamanaa (Arabeg am 'rwy’n gobeithio') yw EP cyntaf Panedeni yn dilyn y senglau Tafod ac Atamanaa.

Mae enw Panedeni yn cyfuno’r gair Cymraeg ‘paned’ - â the Adeni o Yemen - gan adlewyrchu'r hyn sy'n gyffredin rhwng diwylliant Arabaidd a Chymreig.

Bydd Panedeni yn teithio gyda’r EP ledled Cymru yr haf hwn, gan ddechrau gyda digwyddiad lansio yn Llanidloes ar 19 Mehefin 2026.

Atamanaa (Arabic for 'I hope') is the debut EP from Panedeni and follows on from the singles, Tafod and Atamanaa, also released on Tŷ Cerdd's Sionci label earlier this year.

The band’s name ‘Panedeni’ merges the Welsh word paned (a cup of tea) with Adeni tea from Yemen, symbolising shared Arabic and Welsh culture and the simple joys of bringing people together.

Panedeni will be touring the EP across Wales this summer, starting with the launch event in Llanidloes on 19 June 2026.
