Cut Above The Rest

Ready for His New Home

Meet Cut Above the Rest, a handsome bay who stole my attention from the moment I saw him. His gentle expression and rich colouring inspired me to step outside my comfort zone, push my abilities, and experiment with new pastel techniques

Created on A3 pastel paper using a variety of soft pastel sticks, this portrait was drawn from a free reference photograph. Every layer was built to capture his warmth, character, and the beautiful glow of his coat

Each portrait teaches me something new, and Platted has been a rewarding reminder that growth comes from trying something different.
