Arts Active delivers an inclusive, innovative and exciting programme of creative activities and learning opportunities

The Arts Active Trust is an independent charitable trust supporting people to enjoy the arts through its programme of creative, participatory activities based in Cardiff and the surrounding areas. The Arts Active programme takes its inspiration from the diverse programme at the venue and capitalises on the expertise and resources they have, using them as a powerful catalyst for creative endeavours

. We aim to encourage people, from the youngest to oldest, to engage in and enjoy arts activity. The Trust believes passionately in the power of the high quality arts projects to engage, inspire and transform people’s lives no matter what their economic, cultural and social context may be. As a charitable organisation Arts Active Trust relies on support from the corporate sector, trusts and foundations and individuals in order to continue to develop its community engagement, working with schools, communities and disadvantaged groups throughout Wales. The Arts Active Trust works closely with and receives support from Cardiff Council to deliver the Arts Active programme.

Dovetail starts up again on Thursday 10 September! 🕊️

We celebrate the many languages and cultures represented in our group through music. Together we work on Welsh folk songs, original compositions and traditional songs from participants’ home countries.

But it’s not just about the music, it’s about sharing stories, building friendships, and learning from one another too.

Arts Active Trust has once again received funding for our Arts for Health and Wellbeing Programme! 🎉

This means our popular Get Moving! and Get Creative! sessions, delivered in partnership with Western Leisure Centre, Pentwyn Leisure Centre and other organisations, will be returning from September.
