✍️🌟 Calling All Young Writers! 🌟✍️
Have you entered the Junior Handwriting Competition at this year's Village Show?
This is a wonderful opportunity for children to showcase their neat handwriting, care and presentation skills. This year's handwriting class features the final verse from the winning Bardic Poem of the 2026 School Eisteddfod, written by Year 6 pupil Rhys Mahoney.
🖋️ Take your time, write carefully, and produce your very best work. Every entry has a chance to shine!
The text to be copied is:
"In the deep dark valleys of Wales,
the dragon's slippery slate scales are as protective as an army,
the Welsh dragon's teeth are as sharp as mountain tips,
and his razor-sharp thrashing tail is like a miner's pick axe,
the dragon's tongue is as black as coal."
Whether you're an experienced competitor or entering the Village Show for the first time, we'd love to see your entry.
🏆 Have a go, show off your best handwriting, and be part of the Village Show!
