Join us tomorrow down at Llandaff Cathedral for our Summer Fair. Rain won't stop the fun—our main artisan market, community Repair Café, art exhibition, family crafts, and bracelet making are all housed inside the Cathedral Nave and Lady Chapel.

From 11.00am on Bank Holiday Monday, 31 August, walk down the hill to shop local makers, get household items fixed, grab a drink from the bar outside the West Front, and try your luck at the Soak the Priest stall from 11.30am (where the Dean takes the first turn in the hot seat!). Here is the updated schedule for our Summer Fair at Llandaff Cathedral this Bank Holiday Monday, 31 August. Everything major takes place sheltered indoors:

10.00am – 4.00pm: Llandaff Art Group Exhibition, family crafts, and make-a-bracelet stall in the Lady Chapel.

11.00am: Fair opens — Artisan craft stalls and Repair Café inside the Cathedral Nave; outdoor bar open outside the West Front.

11.30am: Live brass music from the City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) Community Band outside the West Front.

11.30am – 2.30pm: Soak the Priest stall outside the front doors (starting with the Dean at 11.30am!).

Bank Holiday Monday is almost here. Down in the cathedral hollow, the grounds and historic spaces are ready to welcome you this 31 August for our annual Summer Fair.

Starting from 11.00am, step down the hill into Llandaff for a full day in the heart of the community:

Inside the Cathedral Nave & Lady Chapel: Independent South Wales craft stalls, volunteer Repair Café fixers, the Llandaff Art Group exhibition, family crafts, and a make-a-bracelet stall.

Outside the West Front: Outdoor bar, live brass music from the City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) Community Band at 11.30am, and the Soak the Priest stall (with the Dean taking the first turn at 11.30am!).

Planning your visit to Llandaff this Bank Holiday Monday? Rain or shine, the fair is fully set up to welcome you on 31 August.

Our artisan craft market, community Repair Café, and local art exhibition are all hosted safely indoors within the shelter of the Cathedral Nave and Lady Chapel. Head down the hill from Llandaff village past the Bishop's Palace ruins to step straight inside from 11.00am. On-site parking is limited, so walking, local buses, or cycling are encouraged. Stepping further into the cathedral during the Summer Fair, you will find the Llandaff Art Group's 2026 exhibition housed inside the Lady Chapel. Opening on Saturday 29 August and running through the Bank Holiday, the exhibition showcases recent paintings and drawings from local artists. Visitors on Bank Holiday Monday can view original work, watch artists sketching live inside the building, and join guided walkthroughs. For families, a children's art table will be set up with materials to create artwork on the day. Open daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm with free entry. One week until our Summer Fair arrives at Llandaff Cathedral.

As you walk down the hill on Bank Holiday Monday, 31 August, the outdoor bar and live afternoon music will be set up right outside the West Front to welcome you. Step through the doors into the Cathedral Nave to explore our artisan craft market and community Repair Café set inside the historic building. With stalls and volunteer repairers hosted indoors, it is an easy day out whatever the late August weather brings.

The sound of brass music carrying across the grounds is a staple of a Welsh summer. On Bank Holiday Monday, 31 August, we are welcoming the City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) Community Band to the cathedral hollow. Playing live from 11.30am, their performance will set the tone for the afternoon as the fair gets underway. Walk down the hill from the village, grab a cold drink from the bar, and enjoy live music under the trees. The fair opens at 11.00am with free entry throughout the day. From traditional fairground games to hands-on fun, Bank Holiday Monday is set up for families down in the cathedral hollow. On 31 August, join us on the green for face painting, try your aim with games lead by the Llandaff Scouts, or take part in the popular Soak the Priest stall. Set across the cathedral grounds, it is an easy afternoon out for all ages, surrounded by local food stalls and live music. We open at 11.00am with free entry all day.
