This World Book Day we’re celebrating the book that started it all.

The Canterbury Tales has entertained readers for over 600 years. Soon, visitors will once again be able to experience these stories brought to life in Canterbury.

The Canterbury Tales Immersive Experience will be having its grand opening very soon!

Meet the last standing pilgrim! 🛡️ When we took over the building, we discovered this lone figure.

All his companions had been auctioned off after the attraction closed in 2020. These figures were once iconic to the experience, and it’s only fitting he stays with us. We’ve spruced him up, and he’ll be proudly on display, ready to greet all who visit. Stay tuned for more updates and be sure to come meet him in person once we open!

Our team was out in full force at Centre this weekend.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to share memories of The Canterbury Tales attraction, talk about our project launch, and support our Kickstarter crowdfunding. We had an amazing time showing you our own copy of the Canterbury Tales.

A huge thanks to Sandwich Medieval Trust for organising the event with talented, skilled volunteers and craftspeople. And to the Freemen of the Blean - Reenactment Society for the kindness and hospitality. We can’t wait to collaborate with many of the people we met in the coming years!
