#과정중심 #학생주도 #프로젝트형 학습으로 전시까지 만들다! 영국에서 예술 교육자로 커리어를 만들어 오던 저는 한국에서 융합교육이라는 새로운 도전을 맞았습니다. 한양대학교 자율전공 학생들이 동시대적 문제를 고민하며 창의적으로 사고하고 변화를 만들어가도록 돕는 것- 열린 담화를 요구하는 프로젝트형 교육이나 창작이 모두 생소한 학생들. 하지만 그들이 가진 영민함과 놀라운 집중력, 그리고 헌신을 발휘해 6주 (리서치 3주+ 메이킹 3주) 라는 짧은 시간안에 빚어낸 감동적인 결과물을 나눕니다.

경복궁에서 울다? Gyeongbokgung, the grand palace of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea.
As I walked through Gwanghwamun Gate, I was in awe—unexpectedly and powerfully moved to tears!

I’ve visited many temples, castles, and landmarks across Korea and around the world, but Gyeongbokgung was different - Deeply resinated ... Its sophisticated use of space felt both respectful and authoritative, yet never oppressive. The harmony of colours, lines, and proportions, along with the serene atmosphere, left a lasting impression.

어쩐지 한국의 현 시국을 반영하는 것 같은 페인팅 “아만다”. 어머니의 병환을 겪으며 15세 딸이 완성한 작품입니다. 선생님으로서, 정말 깊은 감명을 받았던 학생입니다. 작품을 만들어 낼 때마다 놀라울 정도로 성장했던 그녀는 15세의 나이에 이렇게 영혼이 깃든 작품을 만들어 냈습니다. 대단하지 않나요?! “Amanda” was created by a 15-year-old daughter navigating her mother’s illness. As her teacher, I was absolutely blown away while working with her. With every painting she practised, her growth was remarkable. At just 15 years old, her work is profoundly soulful! #예술천재 #어린예술가 #영국미술교육

Why did a dice appear at the Korea Service Design Conference?
We explored the impact of data on life through an artistic lens.
Data’s paradox—loss of context, unpredictability, and privacy risks—mirrors an art technique, collage; where images lose their original meaning and are reinterpreted.
We took it further. We turned the collages into dice faces and rolled them, symbolising the randomness and uncertainty of data, and visually revealing its inherent risks.
