Aylesham Singers Aylesham Singers are former members of a choir who are determined to meet each Tuesday evening to be able to continue to enjoy singing together.

We have made great progress with the help of Roger from Village Guitars, who introduced us to 'Karafun'! With this brilliant facility we are now able to access the music, backing vocals and lead vocals separately for each chosen song to practice which will enable us to improve our singing/harmonies and enjoyment while we build our repertoire. We are not currently a formal group requiring a commitment and therefore welcome all who would like to come and sing with us at any of our sessions. After our Christmas break we will be meeting again on 14 January at 7.15pm.

We are continuing to make progress singing both familiar songs and trying out some new pieces we haven't tried before. We are continuing to do pretty well singing unaccompanied as we have yet to find a pianist/guitarist who might be willing to come along to our sessions as there are some items we have tried which do not lend themselves to singing without accompaniment. So if there is anyone who could help with this - even to come along occasionally - they would be most welcome.

It is early days but we are enjoying our sessions. Two of our number who have some musical experience are leading us to improve our basic skills and as well as working on songs already in our repertoire we are aiming to add some more modern items. We welcome anyone who would like to come along to see if this is something they might enjoy. During the introductory Autumn period there will be no subscriptions payable.

Aylesham Singers are a group of former members of a choir that has now rebranded, who are keen to continue singing - but not in the format a formal choir. We will welcome everyone of all ages who would like to come along and sing with us on Tuesday evenings 7.15 - 8.45 at The Hall (the old school) in Ackholt Road, Aylesham. During this introductory period, until December, there will be no requirement to make a firm commitment and no subscriptions will be payable.
