We are Junk Sleep, a theatre company comprising of 9 Masters Students studying Contemporary Performance Practice at The University of Kent. Our company is aimed at questioning and provoking issues on the human condition. As an eclectic range of people with varying cultures and backgrounds, we are looking at ourselves to explore the relationship between technology and identity in today’s society. W

ith 7.125 billion people in the world and nearly half using the internet we want to know how that is affecting us as a society. Is it forcing us to conform in order to fit in with the perfect Instagram picture? Has it moulded us into the society of perfect lies? Is it actually one of the best things to happen to this generation? Through multimedia and movement we intend to investigate this issue. Our website, social media pages and blog will keep you updated with our rehearsals, our findings and our performances.
