Drawing after the painting ”Portrait of Romaine Lacaux” by Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1864), which can be seen at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

My lesson from this experience: avoid as reference an impressionist painting for coloured pencils! 😊 I loved the reference, I’ve studied every brushstroke of Renoir in it (it’s such a wonderful piece!), but it’s veeeery complicated, at least at my level, to make something very similar. Plus to translate a painting of 81,3x65 cm into a drawing of 12x15,1 cm…

I realized that I can record what I'm drawing on the tablet. Well, at least until the app stops responding and I have to restart it.

In the midst of trying to unlearn my brain from worrying and fearing things that don't help me, I dreamed that I went for a drive alone in someone's new car, then I realized that it was night, I don't know how to drive at night, plus I don't know where and how to park it when I get home. So I still have a lot to work on with myself. 😄

How do you guys deal with such thoughts?

Also from the area of ​​those thoughts, a sketch executed in 27 minutes last night, on the tablet.
The portrait of Ilena Cotrubaș (God rest her soul!).
Because the drawing I'm working on now doesn't really want to come out (and every time this happens I realize that it's a detail that I didn't pay attention to at the beginning of the drawing). I thought that the portrait of a beautiful face would give me the courage to continue.
