Drawing #2 from a series of 10 portraits that I'm working on as an exercise in an online sketching school that I signed up for about a month ago. I actually do each portrait twice: the first version, simplified, quick, is to answer the exercise, the second resumes the drawing in detail (and I'm publishing this here), because I can't bear not to extract all the beauty I feel from an image.

I've noticed that since I work twice on the same image, the second drawing comes out much more relaxed, more natural. The fact that I do them in graphite, where I work faster, also helps, but since I've started to miss colored pencils, I think I'll go back to them soon.

It gives me great joy to announce that I have the honor of having 4 of my coloured pencil drawings exhibited on April 17th-19th at the art exhibition organized by St. Paul's, Cambridge, UK.

Although I received the good news several days ago, I have been giving a lot of thought about how to make this fact public. How do you express something that seems too good to be true? But it is happening, the drawings have already been handed over to the exhibition curator. 😊

The exhibition includes over 200 works collected from 75 artists. Admission will be free.

I am excitedly waiting for the opening on Friday.
Glory and thanks to God for everything!
